Hey gang,
It's been a bit of a blah weekend for me. Yesterday I had an eye exam and the dilation left me functionally blind for the rest of the day. That meant no crocheting, no TV, no reading and <gasp> no computer!!!
The good news is-there is nothing wrong with the eyes other than my nearsightedness.
The bad news is my new glasses won't be ready for a week.

Oh well, I can wait. And now that I can see again I'm going back to work on the CareBear for my niece (she's 2). Enjoy the soup!

I tried a new cookie recipe last night. They are snowmen-basically coconut balls with chocolate dipped marshmellows as the hats. I had a terrible time with the marshmellows and ended up having to start from scratch on them. But, eating the mistakes were pretty good!

Why does January seem to be my busiest month?? Between getting the kids back to school, sending daughter to TCTC, redoing son's room, keeping up with son's basketball schedule, cleaning up from the holidays--I feel like I am just now catching up! And I still have to help Hubby with the inventory on the tool truck!

Wish me luck--I am starting a new crochet project. I found a very basic sweater pattern and am trying to figure out a) the sizing for my husband and b) the placement of cables up the front (he wants an Aran style sweater). I have never tried this before--should be interesting or infuriating.
