Hey you guys. Thanks for being patient.

I'm deeply sorry for being so busy lately. Too many things going on and now some of it is postponed till NEXT weekend...*sigh*....so if I dissappear again I should be back soon...

Just keep going with the Ember reel. It should do great. Go to the inn, Sath will ask for the rooms she reserved. Nothing too complicated. Be busy with who gets what room...spend the night talking while Sath is asleep...whatever. Just keep busy till I can get back into the groove.

Yes...they'll believe quite soon, and south I believe. I've just been too busy to really focus on one thing. *sigh*

I'm leaving at Noon tomorrow for Arizona for three days. Wish me luck, I'm going to have fun. I'm visiting Kitt Peek and Tombstone and sleeping out in the desert. This is for my Astronomy class, don't ask me WHY we're going to Arizona, that's more of a Geology place....oh well. I'm going to have fun anyhow

WoF, if the company manages to leave before I get back, take Sathria and have her instructing everyone, quietly, to follow Xhile, but not to keep their eyes off him.

If you don't want Xhile, give him to Dave, I think he can handle it.

I'm certianly glad Dave thought my thread in such high esteem. You are PERFECTLY WELCOME.

Right now, I believe though I've been a bit busy lately, the group has just escaped or is escaping some head hunters and the like in the middle of the forest...

The Consi, whose name is Sathria Com, is a long prophecized holy warrior who has an amulet which no one but her can hold or they'll turn to dust and ash. They are currently traveling to Mount Kitt, the now discovered den of the Dark One. She's going there to either destroy him or be destroyed by him or both. It is a toss up and a surprise as to what is going to actually happen

However, just at that moment, another change swept over Tullifer. Suddenly, he was in a super-slowed world, his reactions 100 times that of any common man. He recognized it; it was his super-hero personality, stealth versus strength version. As Tullifer looked around, his newly acquired senses saw a disturbance in the air. It was a small dart headed right toward Asha. She didn't even see it! Tullifer moved with the speed of something not on this earth, caught the dart with his hand, spun around, and threw it back in the direction of where it came from.

Okay, I've let my subscription to the Journal of the American Psychological Association lapse, however, as far as I remember Multiple Personality Disorder did NOT give the patient any particular physical benefits with any personality change. As this is a fantasy setting I just went with it this time, but let's not get crazy. Pardon the pun.

The party has been teleported, involuntarily, to the Underdark. This gives me the opportunity to expound a little bit on what the Underdark is, but not yet. Styx, the party has been separated into groups of two; Leighla and Sathria, Asha and Tullifer, Xhile and Manfred. Asha and Tullifer just found the men and Leighla is trying to find some way to her friends or out of that hole has fast as possible, but she'll stumble upon something very interesting as you seen in my last post in the thread. Game on!

Now, the Underdark... I hope no one will be offended by what I'm about to say, but I just don't think you guys know what it is and what the Drow are so here's a small explanation....

The seemingly endless, black depths of the Underdark have spawned more fables and fears than any other region of Christia. The Underdark is extremely dangerous, especially to those not native to it. There are the usual dangers associated with caverns: claustrophobia and getting lost. There is no light; most Underdark inhabitants either have highly developed senses other than sight or have developed infravision. Food can be extremely difficult to find, and much of the natural vegetation is poisonous. (this excerpt from wikipedia.org)

Then there are the Drow...

The Drow as a whole are very different from the surface elves. Drow have ebony BLACK skin and stark white hair that almost creates a snowy mane. But do not be decived by their beautiful and sharp appearance, they are very quiet-footed, fast, and mean.

These Dark Elves once lived on the Surface World with the Light-Skinned Elves. But the Drow goddess Lolth decieved the Surface Elf god into seduction, and Lolth (the chaos goddess) backstabbed the other. When the Surface Elves heard this, they went to war with their Dark bretheren and drove them from the Surface into the Realms of the Underdark. The Underdark is the World beneath the surface and is home to the most vile of creatures and monsters.

The Drow have made great cities in the Underdark and the greatest of these is Menzoberranzan. Many people know of the famous renegade drow named "Drizzt Do'Urden," but they don't know much else about the drow. This race has to be the best fighters and killers of all races. Every other race shudders at the name: Drow.

I don't know about you, but I'm feeling some anti-climactic angst here! What's with killing the bad guy off so easily!

I'm none to happy that Sath is dead, either! I can understand it, I just don't like it.

I say let's do our own DVD extras, alternate endings for the Consi...

Me first...

A mighty battle is ensuing, both warriors skilled and agile. It is a stalemate, neither combatant seems to be gaining an upper hand. The Dark One seems to have limitless amounts of stamina and does not appear to be weakening. However, as the battle rages on interminably Sathria is beginning to wear down.

Then, from out of Leighla's cage, streaks a holy arrow. The blessed missile grazes Sathria in the thigh! Has Leighla gone mad?! Has she lost her aim?! Hardly. As the arrow arcs out of sight into the surrounding darkness Sathria suddenly feels a jolt of energy and fights the Dark One with renewed vigor.

Asha, now feeling strengthened by Manfred's prayer to Elohim, looks at the battle and shouts to Sathria, "You are forgetting your most powerful weapon! The sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God! This battle is not yours, but God's. All you must do is trust in Elohim and stand on His Word! Having done all just STAND!!!" (Ephesians ch 6)

Inspired by Asha's words of encouragement Sathria, having just landed gracefully on two feet after doing a flying somersault over her enemy, suddenly kneels to pray. "Forgive me, Father, for not remembering that the battle is Yours. You give me the victory." As Sathria prays, the Dark One cannot believe it. Sathria is just kneeling there and all he has to do is swing his sword one time to finish her.

He prepares to do just that, raising his blade high over his head. With confidence, Asha prays on the sidelines. Manfred, who wants to take over the fight so badly he can taste the enemy's blood, comes to his senses and begins to pray as well. Leighla, kneels near her cage and prays. Tullifer wonders what the heck is going on and is determined to find out from someone later. Mathias is having his heavenly discussion with his earthly father.

Sathria opens her eyes and stands. As the Dark One raises his sword over his head she merely smiles in derision at him, light shining out of her eyes. The Dark One laughs cruelly and mockingly as he swiftly brings the blade down on Sathria's head. The sword shivers in his hand from the force of the blow, but mysteriously there is no injury to Sathria.

As if from thin air a gigantic figure appears behind Sathria, the Dark One's sword in His hand. With the smallest tug the King of kings rips the sword from the Dark One's grip. Fear can be seen spreading across the evil one's face like wildfire over a dry prairie. Jesus snaps his fingers and the sword snaps in two. He drops the pieces to the ground and the melt into nothingness. With a voice as soft as a pillowy cloud, but strong as a raging river, Jesus speaks. "Your time is not yet, lost one, begone to your domain until the appointed time." The Dark One vanishes instantly.

Looking to Sathria and the rest of the party, He says, "Well done, good and faithful servants. Now live, love God with all your hearts and minds and might. At the time appointed you will enter in and enjoy your rest." Suddenly the entire party is back in the woods where they met Tullifer. Everyone is stunned and is just standing around in silence with funny smiles on their faces. The befuddled guide is the first to speak, "Well why didn't He at least drop us in a town?!? My feet are killing me!"
