  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Envy is sinful.

There are countless people who have far, far more than I every will simply because of their looks or family name. They've had it relatively easy compared to me. Should I envy them? Would my envy be excused by God? No and NO
Stingyness is sinful.
There are countless people who have far, far less than I ever will simply because of their looks or family name. They've had it relatively hard compared to me. Should I marry one? Would my looks and family name lose value? Yes and yes.

Should the government force you to marry one, in the name of social justice?

The government has no business in marriage unless allowed to.
God did not give man dominion over man, so the only lawful government, like the only lawfully valid contract, is by consent, and that consent has to be informed and uncoerced.

...Have you no conscience?
;)

White privilege.

It’s the phrase bigots hate to hear and progressives love to denounce.

If you are white and clicked on this blog to be congratulated for naming your privilege, you can stop reading in a few characters.

Thank you for naming your privilege.

It’s a good starting point of solidarity with people of color (POC) to name that your privilege exists.

But naming your privilege is not the same thing as taking actions to reject it and dismantle white supremacy.

http://newsacred.org/2016/06/so-you-say-youve-got-white-privilege-now-what/

Some suggestions for progressives on fighting their privilege.

I'm just going to do the opposite of everything suggested.

You mean you are just going to be racist and belligerent about it? Work to keep things of and for white people?

The article said I could stop reading after I was thanked so I did. A gift card or something would be nice though.

You mean like a gift card for Kohl's, which rhymes with "coal," which is black?

You may assume many things; if you do so in a forest, would anyone care?
Not without conscience or imagination, no.
That person would be without empathy, devoid of compassion.
Sounds more like a barren wasteland than a forest.

No, no. I was thinking maybe a card from Mickey D's. You can buy one straight from their website: 365black.com

Oops, my bad. That appears to be a privileged site for "blacks only" hamburgers or something?

Doesn't matter what I do you'll call me racist anyway.

I apologize if I come across like I am blindly name calling for no reason. I just call it out when I see someone's views lining up with what I think are racist opinions. If you treat people of all colors equally you certainly not racist and I would have no way of knowing if you do so I should amend my statement to say "are you going to agree with some racist ideas" instead of "you are going to be racist"

Plus I believe the article was for people who agree that white privilege exists and want to do something about it. If you don't believe it exists you won't care to do anything about it.
