I find it amusing that people that blame Americans for being "arrogant and assuming" are the same people that are arrogant and assume that all Americans are nothing but a group of dumb, redneck blindly devoted, unquestioning brainwashed masses screaming "'Murica!!! YEAH!!!"

Is America the best? Yes, but I am also aware of my bias.. this being the land of my birth. Just because I don't want to be from another nation doesnt mean I feel them inferior.

I find it amusing that "Americans are so arrogant and stupid they like to assume that people are a certain way without ever having been there... (As I type this from Germany, Spain, France, UK, NZ or any other place outside of America and have never been there)"

I mean I guess they are correct.... such blanket assumptions ARE stupid and it makes one a fool, but I guess they come by it honestly cause they are too foolish to realize that they too are doing what they consider to be stupid and arrogant. :D

Of course I WILL make fun of other countries..... because lets face it....

I never noticed that about you toro, but If I do, I just politely ignore it.

So there I am getting ready to head out the door when a Statistics Canada guy (yep, same person as before), and tried to stop me from going to work to answer "some qurstions".

Dude... I have to go to work!
So on my way out I tell my roommate not to disclose my personal information. I highly do not trust this guy as he is seemingly borderline harassment you clearly not listening to what I had stated before that I could not "talk" until the next week. This guy kept coming anyway.

Creepy.

I wish he would knock on my door. Id solve your problem...... "Yes, come in. Sit. While I tell you about my stats let me tell you of Jesus and allow me to thoroughly baptize you"

My rant today is how...credit cards are an unnecessary evil, but then people keep saying ya know, theres no such thing as evil, its just a tool.

Well, ok then what is evil then. Surely there are evil tools that the devil likes to use. Magic bullets. Drugs. Alcohol. Guns. Nuclear weapons of mass destruction. Agent orange. Pornography. Shoddy goods. Horror films. Epileptic inducing games. Unsafe trampolines. Occult books. I can think of heaps of tools that are evil.

Random rant: People can be down-right lazy slobs. I work in a grocery store, in the meat department. My job is to wrap packages of meat and put it nicely on the shelf. Simple enough, right?

Wrong.

I'd say about 1/2 my day is spent not only wrapping and stocking, but cleaning up other people's mess. And by that, I mean that nice display I just set up is now a messy, thrown-around pile of packages. Wrong size packs in wrong places, things turned around or upside-down, even wrong meats in different sections (like a pack of chicken in with the ground beef). :|

I mean, come on...I know my job is to make the shelf look nice...but really people? Does your fridge look that trashed? Can't you have the courtesy to put the unwanted package back in the same spot (or at least in the same general area) and sitting right-side up so the next person behind you can actually read it?

And I'm not the only person who notices this...I've actually had some customers (usually the regulars that have been shopping with us for years) make comments on how hard I work and how nice the display looks. I just wish more people would take the time to think about others. The golden rule is to do unto others as you would have done unto you. Not a lot of people think about that anymore and it's sad.

The Squeaky meat lady hath spoken.....

she who controls the supplies of the tacos............

I suggest a solution to the problem....

Those meats that people change their minds about. Rather than throwing them back in the wrong spot.... we need a refrigerated box that is Toro's share. Where those instantly go as offerings to me and at the end of each day find their way into my fridge.. :D

I certainly have to say my coworkers who are merchandisers feel your pain too. They have to deal with lazy night shift people. >.<

when worked in the library, if people were too lazy to put books back in the right place they could just stick them on the trolley.

There were enough OCD shelvers being employed at the time to do this job of having everything in dewey decimal order. So I suggest maybe a 'change your mind' meat trolley.

Its like the annoying thing of trying on clothes from a store and they don't fit and then you don't know what to do with them. There should be a rack near the changing rooms to put your clothes if you tried them on and they don't fit, otherwise you wandering round looking for a sales assistant or trying to put them back where you got them from but of course, you'll probably ruin the display, due to clumsy customers attempts at folding or hanging 'just so'.

OR. Have all the meats behind glass and the customer has to ask the service person to choose their meat for them. Because only YOU know what is best for them.

Here in the states in our library's there is a cart to put your books back on as the library does not want you to put them up because lots of people do not know the Dewey Decimal System and they put the books back in the wrong place so the library wants to do it for you.

Also here in the states they do have racks to hang your cloths on after trying them on so once again the customer does not put them up in the wrong place.

Also in New Jersey it is the law that a professional has to pump your gas into your car for you because the people in general are too dumb to do it them selves. The rest of the country is not like that but New Jersey is.

why do you keep saying 'here in the states' as if we don't have those things here lol. We have libraries and shops in nz just like other countries. Just some places don't have the rack thing, and that's annoying.

I don't think its 'people are too dumb' but that some people run off the gas without paying. But that can be easily remedied by having people pre-pay their gas - you pay and then the pump gets switched on.

Okay answer me this........ how on Earth is it that all the songs I liked growing up that were covers...... I knew were covers.

Yet even in the age of instant information of the internet and apps like Shazam you have very little knowledge of songs being covers.

I mean, Im sure in a couple years some kid will hear a Nirvana cover like Dead Sara's cover of heart shaped box and think "Wow these people are great." :|

Sorry kids, your generation is broken musically.

Your generation offers Justin Bieber.

Now thats not to say that when my generations music was new that the old people didnt swear up and down that music was dead....... However, even the old people of my generation liked some of the music that my gen brought to the table.

This gen.... may God have mercy on your souls for the garbage you make us old folks endure.

The bright side is, I suspect with the path music is taking I wont mind losing my hearing when I am old.

Now that I lectured you kids....... get off my lawn. :|

Why must doctors poke, prod, and push you to the limits when they know it causes pain? Yeah, I know they have to do it. I know they are doing this to get more information about what's going on or to make sure there have been no changes...I just HATE dealing with the after effects of their examinations. :destroyed:

It really bugs me when women are treated differently when they decide to have a short hairstyle such as a pixie cut.

http://thoughtcatalog.com/hok-leahc...-theyre-treated-from-when-they-had-long-hair/
I get interesting reactions every time I get my hair cut. I tend to keep mine cut short like this for various personal reasons.
Curly-Bob-with-Bangs.jpg
Women tell me how nice it looks and that they actually think I look better in short hair. Men on the other hand have one of two reactions...they like it or they don't.
