Just like they say in Fallout "War.... never changes"

It never changes because people don't change.

The PROBLEM with the generational gap however is a change in society, some change is for the better, some not so much. Its only clearly evident however to those that see the change because they grew up before the change.

For example, me. I grew up in the 80s where people had a sense of humor...... It was corrupt and yet innocent all at the same time.

Take Back To The Future...... A guy goes back in time, alters how his parents get together and in doing so his mother starts desiring him instead and he spends part of the story trying to make his mother stop liking him but his father instead. In the 80's they managed to make a good movie out of that without making it shocking and disgusting calling it "humor". Today the same movie would have pushed the shock "humor" side of the story for about an hour and thirty minutes.

In the 80s you could make certain jokes that political correctness would NEVER allow today. While I agree that malice disguised as humor isn't funny, its propaganda, the same type of thing Hitler used against the Jews. Too many people have thin skin and search out malice where there is none.

I just miss when TV and movies were good, even though they were cheesy.

When an old man teaching a young boy karate..... wouldn't have been portrayed as creepy.

I really hate seeing and hearing people who act self-righteously or judgmentally and then play the "persecuted for Christ" card when called out.

I'm like, dude/dudette (is that how you spell the female version of "dude"?), you can't say whatever you want to and expect no rebuttal or rebuke whatsoever. When Jesus spoke of being hated by the world for His sake, I sincerely doubt He was giving Christians free reign to play the victim no matter what the circumstances. After all, remember He also gave us the Golden Rule: treat others as you would want to be treated.

Not that I mean to justify clearly hateful overreaction by others/nonbelievers to the above, mind you. That's just as big a problem in the world these days. Vigilante tactics in reaction to relatively minor offenses get way too extreme sometimes. And I end up almost feeling sorry for the first offender because of it. It's crazy.

I'm watching all these Epic Battle Simulator videos and notice that 7/10 of them involve Spartan Hoplites.

What's even more amusing, some of the YouTube commenters go on how they wish they lived a Sparta-styled society where the weak are weeded out and they lived in a society of alpha males. I'm thinking, "Yeah... No." I highly doubt 99% of people saying this would be able to handle a brutal warrior society like Sparta. Many of the blokes interested in Spartan society could be a bunch of fat, pimply losers who work at a video store for all we know.

Like I said, I think this world is beyond help at this point. 2 Timothy 3 narcissism is one heck of a generational attitude...

So ummm... yeah, think I'd of passed on being Spartan.

Think about it: In 300, you had a whole bunch of buff men in speedos huddling together to fight off the Persians. At night they all had a slumber party together and slept on their shields--

I would have served under David instead aha. None of that foolishness, a brotherhood.

Makes sense.. wherever there is sadism (being more mean) masochism is always close by (being a hyper offended snowflake). Both just further fuel each other's garbage fire.. lol.. and often are traits within the same people.

As for me, I'm high on the sadomasochistic empathy spectrum. So I can live just fine in this environment. Heck I probably need it to feel some social satisfaction. Not that it's healthy. I've tried to clean up a lot of the mental sewage I inherited from my time as being a Christian (just sharing my personal experience from my faith.. not claiming it's a universal).. only be confronted with SJW culture. Lol.

Although I wouldn't call you a snowflake/[bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]. Just someone who has real grievances to air. Of course people use the term "snowflake" for different reasons. Although, I'm against those who try to shame people from venting about stuff. Problem with using the label anti-sjw.. it once was a good term for entering social groups that were critical of modern feminism and racial commentary. Now it's more and more flooded with alt righters, and those who really are racist. Heck.. in the eyes of many anti-sjws I'm a huge sjw to them. Lol.

Not so much a rant as a venting post...

Sometimes I still wonder if what I have is really anxiety or if I have something else wrong with me. I mean, it seems like anxiety but if it is, then why hasn't anything I've tried helped much? Multiple medications did nothing. Counseling did nothing (although I admit I should try to get some better counseling than what I had before). Things like deep breathing that are supposed to help anxiety don't seem to do much. The only thing that helps it is forgetting about it, and that is not only hard to do but also only temporary. Why does eating a lot at once make it worse? And why does it get better for a while and then worse for a while again?

I worry about my health a lot too...it seems like everything in my life is ironic. When I was a kid I didn't care a lot about my health but I felt good, now I try to take care of myself but I (often) feel miserable. I worry about how things from my childhood that I couldn't control might be causing some problems I have now or might cause new problems in the future. I'm allergic to some foods that would be good for me otherwise, and I fear for my health because I can't eat them. I'm too young to be dealing with so much. :( It scares me about how my health might be when I'm older if I even make it that long. No matter what I tell myself it doesn't help; I just don't have the answers and whenever I'm reminded about something that worries me the fears come back.

Yes, I think I might be overreacting here a bit because I don't have anything serious right now, but I just can't help being frustrated and afraid, possibly from the anxiety.
