I started building an outdoor patio/fire pit area last weekend and went to Wal-Mart to pick up some landscaping blocks for a little retaining wall. Pulled into their parking lot and all of the outdoor stuff is gone! There are 2-3 shipping containers sitting there locked up.

I asked one of the employees what happened to all of the landscape materials and he said that they packed it all up last week because they were seasonal items.

What? It's the first week of August! Maybe if it was freakin' October then I could see not many people working on their yards, but August??

I just don't understand how a company that is so huge and successful can do something so stupid. I know of at least a few other friends who are also doing landscape projects and now we are all going to go to either the local home improvement store, or drive 40 miles to Home Depot.

And it's not like that area in the parking lot is now going to be used to sell other items; their inventory is just sitting in shipping containers not being sold in the same section of the parking lot.

I just bought a new grill there two weeks ago. Good thing I did because all the grills are also packed up.

I just don't get it... It's the middle of Summer!

I like CF as its a diverse range of people but sometimes its bad and its just the same poster over and over following you round like a bad smell, and everything you post is answered with a 'oh but you stupid' attitude. I mean really have they got nothing better to do than be disagreeable all the time???

I really need a different job. I don't like the new contract where I work now. I'm not working what I used to make anymore and it's not getting better. The problem is I like the fact that if I am sick, I am covered, and I am able to walk to work... but I am unable to save much money because of the pay rate and lack of hours because of the new "owners". They want people to work as less as possible...This company doesn't care about its employees.

On the other hand... do I take this time with the job I have now to increase my typing skills to do some transcription on the side for extra cash?

Oh dear well Hopefully God has something lined up for you. Its a drag working for people who just dont care.

I came here to rant that I feel like maybe i should attend a different church.
My one is getting me down :-( it just feels like ppl are stingy and not truly loving toward each other. If you have to ask someone elses permission to even doing anything its like...what about God?! Dont they think about what He wants??

Thanks, it does feel like he's put it in my heart that I should go search for a job that gives to their employees rather than take away from their employees. I also want to do something for people rather than just ringing them through.
I can certainly say I'm not being valued for what I do and even asked a while back 3 different times I wanted to change departments. Since I'm not valued here, I'm sure there's still a company out there that will.

Same can be said for the churches, but spiritually and glorifying Him. I pray He helps you with that as well.

Sick of the men who feel they are entitled to a smile and banter from every female they bless with a hello or that get peeved when a girl they like doesn't have an interest in them. Women don't owe you anything, just like you're not expected to court every girl that doodles your name on her binder. Why don't you build yourself a nice little bridge and get over it?
