Some months after Pearl Harbor the American general who was placed in charge of the defense of the west coast of North America was asked if the Japanese could invade Alaska and then attack south into Canada and the USA. His reply was "Sure they could but by the time they fought their way down here they would all be citizens."

Alexander the Great and Napoleon only moved their army two spaces. Risk is a game for visionary's willing to take the 7 space trek from Siam to the Western US.

He got worse treatment from the right-wing media that any other president in history had gotten from the media from the opposing side.

Unless I'm forgetting some other president prior to Obama that had the following accusations leveled against them:
"Secret Muslim"
"Anti-Christian"
"Anti-American"
"Socialist"
"Not born in this country/Kenyan"
"Wants to destroy our way of life"

These were all accusations that were leveled toward him on a regular basis in the year leading up to his election by the right wing (& alt-right) media outlets.

He was more centrist than Bill Clinton (IMO), yet, Bill did didn't get that kind of treatment from the right wing...they fixated on his extramarital affairs, but they didn't accuse him of being a secret Kenyan Muslim plotting to overthrow "American values".

Trump has gotten it worse than Obama. You don't have to actually like the guy, but don't pretend that Obama was treated worse. If a reporter had talked about Obama how Trump has been, they would have been called racist and driven out of the media.

Yes that's true. I don't think people necessarily disagree with that. The point most often made is that Trump has been far more deserving of the criticisms leveled against him than Obama ever was. Also note the people opposed to Trump are far greater in numbers than the people who were opposed to Obama so it seems like he's catching a lot more flak than Obama ever did.

I never said that he didn't do something to provoke it. Obama did stuff to provoke the right. The Obamas would say stuff to get the birthers reeeing again , because it made the rest of the right look ridiculous by association.

It is an odd game where you have to understand the historical strategic importance of Australia to world conflicts.

Trump has gotten it worse than Obama. You don't have to actually like the guy, but don't pretend that Obama was treated worse. If a reporter had talked about Obama how Trump has been, they would have been called racist and driven out of the media.

...My post was pertaining to Obama and past presidents. I mentioned that when Obama had gotten that treatment from the right, up until that point, no other candidate/president had gotten that kind of foul treatment. (even though Slick Willy was further left than Obama)

Part of the poor treatment of Trump is somewhat of a retaliation by the left for how their guy was treated...the other part of the Treatment is in response to thing Trump has done and said...which is a bit different than making accusations based on nothing.

For example, the left attacking Trump for things he's been recorded saying is different than the right attacking Obama for being a "secret Kenyan Muslim". Had Obama had a secret recording released of him saying "as a Muslim man who was born in Kenya, I think XYZ..." and he responded with "well, I'm not really a Muslim, that was just hypothetical guy talk with one of my buddies" then those two sets of accusations would be on equal footing.

It was during the 2008 election process when the right-wing drastically lowered the bar. The GOP voter base was so full of misinformation and rage, that they actually booed McCain at his own rally for saying "No, Obama isn't a Kenyan Muslim, he's a Christian and a good family man, he and I just disagree on fundamental issues".

...and it was also at that moment that I knew the GOP was no longer the party for me (even though I liked McCain and lean conservative on a number of issues).

Then the right should've distanced themselves from the birthers the same way the majority of the left publicly rejected the 9/11 truthers when they were Bush-Bashing with conspiracy theories.

The reason why "the right" didn't oust them, is because they weren't as "fringe" among the GOP voter base as classic republicans would like people to think.

41% of republicans bought the Kenya nonsense...and another 31% were "undecided" on the matter.

While more than eight in 10 Democrats agreed with the claim, far more Republicans disagreed with the statement (41 percent) than agreed with it (27 percent). An additional 31 percent of Republicans expressed some doubts about whether Obama is a native U.S. citizen (i.e. indicating that they neither agreed nor disagreed with the statement). Only slightly more than one in four Republican voters agreed that the president was born in the United States.

Not provoke -- deserve.

Obama did stuff to provoke the right.

Obama inhaled oxygen and exhaled carbon dioxide -- that's all some of the Right needed to be provoked.

The Obamas would say stuff to get the birthers reeeing again , because it made the rest of the right look ridiculous by association.

Birthers such as Donald -- nobody reeeed as bigly as him.

I won't fix it in the quote but I would say that "Obama did stuff that would provoke the right". Your phrasing suggests that his purpose was provocation; and I don't buy that for a second.
OTOH, Trump is ALL about vindictiveness and revenge.

In Risk you certainly do.

The realism of the game is a bit questionable though as no commander in history thought to use the Australian/Oceania region as a strategic block to invade the world through south east Asia.

Yes Obama being black. Provoked everything. And he's the reason the right is crazy. This is the only thing I seen. The other stuff is your imagination.

Stuff like what?

Obama in Africa: I'm Proud To Be First Kenyan-American President

Now, anyone who isn't crazy knows what they're talking about, but it still is just enough to rouse the nutters. There's also another clip in particular I was thinking of where Michelle does this thing like she 'accidentally' admits the birther thing and the audience laughs; it's all done very tongue-in-cheek. However, between the last time I checked in with the Obama conspiracies and now, there's a new one about Michelle really being a man (seriously, what?), and there's no way on this good earth I'm digging through that amount of crazy to find that clip.

Those are just Jokes, as a matter of fact people love calling the Left Snowflakes, Republicans getting mad at that are just as much Snowflakes if not worse. They are Thin Skinned like Donald and can't take a joke.

They aren't but they sure do a good job showing they are.

Really? A survey monkey poll? Those are always TOTES legit. Even when it's a legitimate poll, depending on how you ask the question, you can really, REALLY skew the response.

Poll on Doubt Of Holocaust Is Corrected

Those are just Jokes

I didn't say it proved anything, just that they were little snippets guaranteed to get the nutjobs frothing.
