I simply made three true statements.

Whenever I observe Conservatives parroting the "cling to my guns and religion" mantra I know that about 80% of the time they have no idea of the context and think it was then candidate Obama talking about them. He was in fact referring to Democratic primary voters in Pennsylvania - not you.

Obama is irrelevant.

And yet Conservatives are constantly talking about him. Heck, did you miss the OP - it's about President Obama.

He did so much damage to his party that the nation elected someone as unconventional as Trump.

Democrats have spent the last year wisely putting him behind them and trying to repair the damage.I used to be a Democrat back when they cared about white rural white men. Now they treat us like we're irrelevant. I'm not a huge fan of Trump but he won because folks like me were vilified. Despite what Obama and Hillary claim guys like me are not evil and I think they forgot that we're still allowed to vote since they completely ignored us.

Again, this post is a perfect example of what President Obama was talking about in the OP? If the Democratic brand was so "damaged" by President Obama and Secretary Clinton, why have the Democrats won 39 seats held by Republicans since Trump took office?
Have Democrats gained 50 seats formerly held by Republicans?

If we look at reality instead of "common knowledge", the person damaging the party is Trump, not President Obama or Secretary Clinton.
