A vote for Obama is a vote for the man who got BAIPA not passed until 2005 after he left the state legislature.

Proverbs 6:16-19 describes Obama quite well.
Quote:
There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
a false witness who pours out lies
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.

Ummmmm sounds like someone who is already in office.

The president who signed the partial birth abortion ban? The president who signed the BAIPA act?

But then again you think babies are terrible things and should be killed.

Good try... No I think babies should have food, clothing, a home, education, medical treatment and not die on the streets.

As do I, but you do not, you think they should be drug out to their neck and scissors cut the back of their head and their brains be sucked out. Also how are they supposed to get these things when the illegals are taking it all? How are they supposed to get it when all the lazy piece of craps are stealing money from tax payers.

I'm missing the post where BlessEwe said that.

I wouldn't feel "right at home" in a church which honors the Nation of Islam and gave Louis Farrakhan a life-time achievement award.

Been noticing Obama has made a point of denying what no one is seriously claiming--that he is a Muslim--while not mentioning at all what sort of Christianity his pastor and his church teach.

A transparent tactic.
Trinity United Church of Christ did not give Farrakhan the Lifetime Achievement Award. The church once funded a Christian based magazine targeted at African-Americans. By the time the issue giving Farrakhan the Lifetime Achievement Award was released, it was no longer under the funding or direction of the Trinity UCC.

And, quite frankly, I don't give a rat's behind what religion the president embraces. IMHO, religion shouldn't play a role in how well someone runs the country, especially with the whole separation of church and state.

so you are saying because I vote Dem. I think like that... ummmm then I can say because you voted for Bush, millions are homeless, starving and dieing while his buds are very rich men. Is that very narrow minded, yes. I work for the homeless and foster children, and I see what has happened to these children after the so called christians say they saved their life.
No I do not agree with abortion, but I agree with helping them to survive once they are here as well. So I would say either side is killing our children, and perhaps one day soon boths sides will come together and stop any harm from conception to adulthood.

Ummm-yes-the mudslinging is just dumb. The first time anything about that stuff with mccain was back in the 00 elections then these past primaries was with flyers done by the same group from south carolina...

So this "stuff" originates with Bushies back in '00?

Well, then, it must be true. :D

...If the stuff with mccain were true, isnt it strange it's just coming out now? Please, let's show a little balance and integrity regarding all candidates...

I am attempting to provide "balance" - that is the whole point.

As for "integrity", I challenge you to find a Republican on the planet that can give you an accurate definition. Perhaps you can start with Larry Craig.

Ask Carter, Mondale, Dukakis, Gore, and Kerry where being men of "integrity" got them. Then think about where lack of integrity got the Clintons in two successive elections.

You'd rather be right than be president? Gee, that's nice. I predict when you die, you'll go straight to heaven.

#35-I have personally pointed this out several times. The captain didnt say they ran out of ammo in Afghanistan and if the info had been read that strawman wouldnt continue to be marched down Embarrassing Lane. Also, to claim the Army isnt the 'one fighting' shows even more reason to doubt the claim of being a combat vet. Add that to the claims that soldiers wouldnt wear body armor because it was 'too hot and heavy' or that the only heavy weapons that could be thought of were 'howitzers' and it's clear those of us who are Vets have great reason to doubt the claim of service being made. It is highly disrespectful to impersonate a Vet if that is what is taking place here.

fwiw, i've listened to the calls to prayer in downtown Cairo and personally prefer the Christian hymns

there hasn't been a president that didn't claim to be Christian despite the antics of many to paint the nation as not based on Christian principles. as Obama is serious about running he's going to do everything in his power to portray him self as Christian as he can.

my question would be regarding fruit.

from this article of 20 questions, a question of Christian principles:

While in the Illinois state legislature you voted against the Induced Birth Infant Liability Act, a measure designed to prevent abortion providers from withholding care and sustenance from infants who survive abortion attempts. Please explain your criteria for providing sustenance to certain infants but not others. Also, at what point after birth is a baby who survives an abortion entitled to protection? Does your rationale apply to any other babies that are born but unwanted?

While i appreciate obama's enthusiam iam skeptical of who would make up his administration. Iam also wondering how he would break through the deep seeded walls of nepotism that has been bred inside the beltway as a natural result of the bush/clinton dc dynasty. Have obama supporters considered these questions as well?

There are several of us republicans that know what integrity entails so to broad brush with wreckless abandon is about as useful as trying to dry up the Atlantic ocean with just one end of a single cue tip.

Perhaps I should have used the term "fundamentalist republicans". :D You know, the kind that sincerely believes the "liberals" want to take away their guns and gay-marry their sons.

I like how the canadian prime minsiter said "we regret that this information came out." Not that it's not true, just that it came out.

Product of the Daley machine, strong ties to "Public Official A", yep, this guy is all about change.

On the campaign trail yesterday, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) defended his support of abortion and same-sex unions. In response to a question at a stop at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, Obama said he does not support calling same-sex unions marriage, but thinks same-sex couples should be given the recognition and benefits granted to married couples. "I think that it is a legal right that they [homosexuals] should have that is recognized by the state. If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans." Jesus teaches on a number of issues central to the Christian life in the Sermon on the Mount: being witnesses to the world, loving our enemies, honoring marriage - but there is no instruction on same-sex unions. As for St. Paul's writing in Romans, it is distinguished not by its obscurity but by its clarity and consistency with all of Christian teaching about the nature of sexuality and marriage. Paul writes: "They [the unrighteous] exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator - who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." (Romans 1:24-27, NIV) Obama also told the crowd that his support of abortion (he voted against banning partial-birth abortion, and against notifying the parents of minors prior to their having an abortion) and his support of same-sex unions do not make him "less of a Christian."

Compared to the many serious questions about the integrity of J. Sydney McCain? I say "Pffffft".
