CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Love all, trust a few. Do wrong to none.
Great Place to be. Beautiful all year round. I have been to Camp LeTourneau 5 out of the last 6 Januarys for a Ladies Retreat hosted by that great Church from Rochester (see Rochester thread) It's a pretty place. I've been to concerts in the Ampitheater. I love that town. I would love to by land out that way some day.PaladinValer said:

I no longer live in NY but I might as well because even though I moved to CT I am constantly in YONKERS, NY. Just can't stay away I guess.

Hey....I lived near Yonkers when I was a baby! I was in Dobbs Ferry, NY for the first 11 months of my life. We have a cousin who lives in Yonkers too.

I live basically on the border of Sullivan/Orange county up on a mountain in the middle of (essentially) no where. It's beautiful. I'm attending school in PA, but I try to get home often because I love the quiet.

COOL those must have been the best 11 months of life huh?!! I really miss it. It is nothing like CT. Leiko - Heh...can't remember a whole lot about it. But as I grew older, since my grandparents used to live in Irvington, NY, we would sometimes drive down to Dobbs Ferry and I was told where we lived and stuff. The place actually burned several years ago around the holidays. Then my ex's mother lived in that area so we were down there quite a lot and I got more familiar with the area.
