I'm in North America enough that I do come across them every now and then. Well, the older systems at least. I'm not in a hurry.
Have you ever come across a Jaguar CD or CDi system?
I gave it a look for a few minutes, although didn't bother to play it, a few days ago. I dropped by Akihabara for a bit and went into the main Sega arcade there to check out what was there. Now officially playing BlazBlue on the 360, and it is as good (actually, better) than I expected it to be. This game is visually stunning, the gameplay is great, and the online is some of the best I've ever experienced.
Am thoroughly satisfied with it, and am glad I pre-ordered.
The main Sega one on the main drag in Akihabara, Tokyo. This is one of the premier game centres in Japan. Most definitely the most famous. It often serves as a bit of a showcase for the newest releases.Wow, which arcade is it? I know a couple people that frequent the arcades over there, and some are just not known for their fighting game scene.
I'm not into the games enough to blow so much money on them, when I could use that money to buy games for home. One round on an arcade costs 100yen ($1) a shot here. That adds up quickly! I'm perfectly happy to just go and check it out, watch someone play a few rounds.Definitely should've played it, I was shocked that it isn't insanely difficult to pick up. Although if you play someone on a really high level of expertise (as I found out playing against several Japanese players tonight)...you just feel handcuffed. Although, I started trading games with some of them, so I must be learning lol.
People here don't seem to jump in and challenge you so much. If you're playing, people seem to respect that more and let you be. At least, that's what I've noticed. Most arcades just have one set of controls, instead of two like in America. But this game is well put together. I would definitely give it a shot, or at least play at the arcade when there's little chance of someone jumping in and challenging you while you beat up on the computer, if you have the chance.
Hmmmm... I really don't play online, but I've had SSF2THDR since it came out. Strangely, I usually just play SSF2T on my Saturn. It "feels" right. I think just because I like the Saturn controller a lot more than the PS controller. I also like the original graphics. As great as they are in HD, they just don't seem "right" to me if that makes any sense. The only game I can equate this to for online is Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, both just has incredible netplay.
