I'm playing Oblivion for 360. I was trying to beat it doing a power gamer leveling style. Unfortunately I forgot to account for Endurance needing to be the first thing leveled all the way to 100 (because the quicker you do it the more health points you get in the end). Anyways, it probably won't matter once I start enchanting weapons and level up enough to use the strongest spells.

I'm about to start Dragon Quest V for DS which I got for my birthday.
I also got a Tom Clancy game for the 360. (but my tv is too standard to really play this game on it so I think I might just wait until I can afford a better television).
For my birthday my parents also said they will reserve any game I want (basically)... so I have to think about that. What would you reserve?

The sequel to Left4Dead or Final Fantasy XIII both sound like they might appeal to you. I'd wait a little later for FF13 though, Gamestop doesn't have any limited edition up yet, and I'm sure with a title as big as this, there will be.

I'm in North America enough that I do come across them every now and then. Well, the older systems at least. I'm not in a hurry.

Have you ever come across a Jaguar CD or CDi system?

I have never seen one in person in my life...the Jaguar CD at least. I'm fairly sure I came across the CDi at least once at a used game shop in Indianapolis. But I think it sold fairly quickly.

I'll definitely let you know which Saturn variation I'd want to pick up when I have the money to do so.

How much are they usually running over there?

Now officially playing BlazBlue on the 360, and it is as good (actually, better) than I expected it to be. This game is visually stunning, the gameplay is great, and the online is some of the best I've ever experienced.

Am thoroughly satisfied with it, and am glad I pre-ordered.

I gave it a look for a few minutes, although didn't bother to play it, a few days ago. I dropped by Akihabara for a bit and went into the main Sega arcade there to check out what was there.

One floor as ONLY (as far as I saw) Virtua Fighter 5 R, Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion and Street Fighter IV machines. BlazBlue, King of Fighters XII and some other games, mostly fighters but also Initial D: Arcade Stage 4. Interestingly, Initial D was the most popular game when I was there.

Wow, which arcade is it? I know a couple people that frequent the arcades over there, and some are just not known for their fighting game scene.

Definitely should've played it, I was shocked that it isn't insanely difficult to pick up. Although if you play someone on a really high level of expertise (as I found out playing against several Japanese players tonight)...you just feel handcuffed. Although, I started trading games with some of them, so I must be learning lol.

Was messing around in training and nailed a (noticeably unsafe) 70 hit combo. Best I've gotten in a match is 34 hits maybe? That's situational and most of the main combos don't go past 15-16 hits, but it's certainly possible.

But this game is well put together. I would definitely give it a shot, or at least play at the arcade when there's little chance of someone jumping in and challenging you while you beat up on the computer, if you have the chance.

Also, single player is amazingly fun, and single player is the feature I least look at when buying now. Arcade mode has a good degree of difficulty, Story mode is insanity, as in you have to decide on certain paths to get 100% completion on each character. There's a score attack mode, and artwork to unlock.

Arc System Works really covered all the bases...even down to online. Like I said, I was playing online against Japan...enjoyably. Most online games won't do that ever. I only had one match with slight lag. I've played people in Hong Kong (which usually, gives me the worst lag imaginable), and had no problems.

The only game I can equate this to for online is Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, both just has incredible netplay.

The main Sega one on the main drag in Akihabara, Tokyo. This is one of the premier game centres in Japan. Most definitely the most famous. It often serves as a bit of a showcase for the newest releases.

I'm not into the games enough to blow so much money on them, when I could use that money to buy games for home. One round on an arcade costs 100yen ($1) a shot here. That adds up quickly! I'm perfectly happy to just go and check it out, watch someone play a few rounds.

People here don't seem to jump in and challenge you so much. If you're playing, people seem to respect that more and let you be. At least, that's what I've noticed. Most arcades just have one set of controls, instead of two like in America.

Hmmmm... I really don't play online, but I've had SSF2THDR since it came out. Strangely, I usually just play SSF2T on my Saturn. It "feels" right. I think just because I like the Saturn controller a lot more than the PS controller. I also like the original graphics. As great as they are in HD, they just don't seem "right" to me if that makes any sense.

BTW, I found Garou: Mark of the Wolves on the Dreamcast for $15 the other day!!! I didn't pick it up because I bought a bunch of other stuff. The highlights being Super Street Fighter II Turbo on the 3DO for 100yen ($1) and Dracula X on the PC Engine Super CD for 4000yen ($40... it usually goes for $100 or more!). I'm sure I'll find it again in the future if I really want it. Half my DC games are fighters, so I really don't need any more.

I mean, I have 17 DC games including Dead or Alive 2, Soul Caliber, Virtua Fighter 3tb, Power Stone, Guity Gear X, The King of Fighters 1999 Dream Match, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, SNK vs. Capcom 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter III: Third Strike. 10/17 games are fighters! Way too high of ratio!!! :D

*just for fun, my other 7 DC games are: Crazy Taxi, Phantasy Star Online, Shenmue, Shenmue II, Sonic Adventure International, Sonic Adventure 2 Birthday Pack, and Sega Rally Championship 2.
