CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thanks for the info. Where I live now, they don't even tell you when to vote, let alone where or when. So, I forget. (so used to getting a sample ballot in the mail, was I. Spoiled Californian. )
I have not volunteered to w ork at the polls. . Although I was asked to once.
Are you and your significant other usually in agreement on how you vote? Or do you know?

Yes, I have. But, I've always been able to be excused because of being the primary care giver to small children. But, recently, I received something in the mail about jury duty before Christmas. (which I had to fill out and return within 7 days.) So... we'll see. I may just get to sit on a jury.

Very wet! It snows, then it gets warm enough to rain, then the snow melts, then the rivers and ponds overflow. It's interesting, I'll give it that!
I think it would be interesting. But, I would really hope that it wouldn't be a harsh violent crime. I can't even watch R rated movies or the news sometimes because I'm so empathetic. (I feel the violence, sadness, etc. more than normal. )

Fridays my sister comes to collect her daughter. (she stays with us during the week) So, I'll probably visit with her for awhile. Tomorrow night is pizza night (aka Mom's day off from the kitchen) and we always watch Stargate Atlantis Fri. nights.
