CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yeah, I love kids. And I'm told they love me. So that's cool. Kids are the most honest people I think. You can't fool them into thinking you're nicer than you really are and they see things adults don't. Maybe that's what Jesus meant when He said we should be like children with Him?

I was supposed to go to a concert with our youth group tonight, and to a friend's birthday get together tomorrow, but there's a nasty storm here and both events were canceled. I'll go to church on Sunday though, and watch the Super Bowl on TV at my grandmother's house.

Well, actually I AM snowed in and staying home..... I finished up some studying and then logged in to CF. I'll do some knitting after I catch up on posts here, and probably play cards or a board game with my family later tonight.
