I’d ask the creationists which is the oldest rock and which is the youngest? . Which is the oldest fault H or the unlabelled one? Which is the oldest sedimentary rock and the youngest ? The oldest igneous rock and the youngest? Can you spot one of the unconformities? Can you see that you don’t have to have a radiodate to determine the relative ages and that these were not laid down at the same time ?

actually the reason that academia can’t find the worldwide Flood is because it never occurred. Once naturalists in the 1700s realized that they could determine what happened geologically in the past , they went looking for the Flood . After hundreds of years they finally came to the conclusion that it never happened globally and geologists have mapped out these formations to the point that paleontologists know where to look if they want to look for transitionals between lineages. It’s how Shubin found Tiktaalik . He looked for rocks of the right age and near where close relatives had been found

Yes, because Inuits have a known relationship with Chicago and Philadelphia Academies of natural science, and as soon as they heard Shubin talking about Tiktaalik, they rushed to get on the phone with him lol.

We aren't given the height of the preflood mountains. And given the height of what can see now that He calls mountains (Olives, Sinai, Gerizim, Ebal, etc...), they wouldn't have to be all that high.

So that's where much of the excess water could have receded to, particularly if the flood was caused by sudden plate moment like a polar flip or something similar.

It sounds like there were mountains...not real tall...that were covered by 15 cubits. Then near the end or at the end of the flood there was great plate tectonics where mountains such as Mt. Everest rose up and the great ocean trenches sank.

. Did you actually read that ? This is water that’s part of the mineral structure. Iow it’s part of the rock . When tectonic plates subduct, they take water down with them . It’s not surprising that sub ocean rock minerals would have water . The combined oceans are several billion years old after all.

This is copper sulfate. When the water is in the crystal structure it’s a beautiful shade of turquoise. Note that it is NOT wet! When the water is removed from the crystal structure it’s white and it weighs less

. Iirc a cubit is about 45 inches long. They still sell fabric for sewing like that

Mountains get pushed up by plate tectonics and the really deep trenches form from subduction of those plates. This doesn’t happen fast as the forces involved would probably rip the earth apart

As I've explained to you numerous times and for some reason you still seem to ignore what really happened...recumbent folds show rapid folding of plastic rock. So, please stop with your old ideas.....climb out of your box.

1 slow bending due to tectonic plate movements that can bend solid rock
2 rapid shaking of wet sediments during an earthquake . They don’t have to be under water they just have to be a unconsolidated
They don’t look alike . Geologists can usually tell the difference even if creationists can’t

Maybe you should learn some real geology instead of creationist pseudoscience. The soft folds are Kelvin–Helmholtz folds. You can can see something similar in clouds cause by the same type of shear forces

Strata below is supposed to be millions of years older than the sediment above it.

...but it is often found bent along with each other.

. Each of these layers were laid down at different times . They have different chemical and mineralogical signatures. Due to plate tectonics the layers sometimes get folded slowly . The Himalayas are an example of this as they were once flat sea floor . They’re still being pushed skywards by India pushing into the rest of Asia . That did take millions of years . The Appalachians were pushed up by Africa and Europe bumping into the east coast of the North America . Because the Appalachians are no longer being pushed up , they’re slowly eroding away.

liquification and being shaken rapidly in an earthquake created the Bottom folds. the top picture was due to tectonic plate movement slowly up pushing solid rock layers ( specifically not wet or unconsolidated ) gradually

The layers presented in the photo were layed down in the flood of Noah's time.

If it took millions of years to slowly seposit the sediment the place where the different sediment contacted each other would not be that smooth. This erosion you speak of would have created valleys and other features created by years of weathering.

Secondly bioturbation would have severly disturbed and mixed the meeting points of the slowly depositing sediment.....
