Please provide evidence for this claim that there were no winds during the Flood. (Either that or simply say "This is totally 100% Miracle and all physical laws were suspended during the Flood.")

God used both miracles and physical laws.

In the story I know there is the part about the winds receding the flood, but I don't recall it saying that the Flood was so peaceful and calm (otherwise I'm even more uncertain why more living things couldn't escape, except maybe it was a Miracle Flood that Simply Killed Things By Fiat).

People often drown in calm water.

The flood would have left widely scattered and mostly fragile indications. It would resemble thousands of local floods as it receded, not a single event, just what we see in the geologic record.

You are merely grasping at straws now.

You're right. So if it had "little" relation to geology it is still convenient because you have provided little support for your reliance on the science you introduced. Handwaving is what I would call "little".
