THAT'S EASY !

****************** TRUTH ************************

Because we love

******************** TRUTH **********************

And YHWH GRANTED US TO KNOW.

There are times I'm actually kinda glad that God made me the way I am (requiring actual evidence for beliefs). This is not to say that I am not prone to beliefs that may be in error. That is the human condition. I always try to maintain the humility that I may, indeed, be in error.

But I can also see how comforting it must be to know that your knowledge is perfect and you cannot be in error.

Is that what you really think?

And I'm dead serious here.

Do you really think that?
I think it's obvious to anyone that you deliberately bait people into debate using half-truths and innuendo.

How so ? Jesus says "WOE to you who are comfortable now, for you have received your comfort" (i.e. destruction in the future for those ones)

The correct word , if there is a correct word, is "exposing", not attacking.

If it was a member here it would be seen as an attack. If I called you a "fake Christian" that would be an attack. If I even strongly implied it, as AV did, that would be an attack. Most Christians know that the message of the Bible is the important part. That some parts are not meant to be taken literally does not take away from the message.

And ironically all I see from you and AV is "comfort" in your knowledge. That is fine, but you guys always make all sorts of claims with such gusto and interestingly enough everyone else is simply wrong!

I distrust people who know anything with perfect knowledge. Perhaps it is my own distrust of my own knowledge.

As I've said many times before I am more than willing to accept the possibility that I am wrong.

But I don't see that level of humility from some of the more pious posters on here.

YOU may feel it is exposing because clearly you, like AV, have perfect knowledge of all that is correct and you can sit at the Right Hand of the Father to come to judge the quick and the "cult".

But looking in from the outside it kinda looked like an "attack". (But who are we to question those who sit at the Right Hand of the Father?)

Right. Don't worry.

Trust me, I don't worry about it. I aspire to grow beyond it but I also realize it is a common fault among regular humans (obviously you and AV are special cases not prone to unsubstantiated beliefs since you seem to have perfected knowledge. But for the rest of us, we struggle.)

When it comes to the sciences I know that I have been wrong more than once when I went with my guts rather than what the experts said. I used to oppose the idea of man-made global warming. I would debate against it regularly. The only problem was that I keep finding that the experts on the side of AGW knew more and were more honest than the ones that I relied on. Eventually I caught Lord Monckton using the exact same strategy that creationists used. When I saw that I was finally totally convinced. If the facts are on one's side there is no need to distort what the experts say, and Monckton does that constantly.

No worries. (or eternal worries).

Read the New Testament, seeking truth..... oh, and do good for others, whoever you see in need and have the means to help them....

there's nothing else you can do, that I know of, that might help.

I am hopeful you are not questioning the faith of those who differ from you in belief in Literal Genesis.

I can see you are quite dismissive of anyone whose faith differs from yours (as you have only recently called others cultists) and yet here you are passing judgement on others even though your Lord and Savior suggests you not do that very thing! (It seems that the Bible isn't so literal after all, is it? ;) )

You are a mystery wrapped in a riddle.
Did I not say NEVERMIND when you brought up losing faith in God?

First you said they lost faith, then you said though that they kept their saving faith.

And for the record, I believe once saved, always saved.

And you don't pay attention.

Perhaps you give yourself too much credit?

Who was it earlier that was able to explain your concept of creation with age?

But surely I am mistaken in assuming that you are passing judgement in direct opposition to the Bible you hold so literally true when you call a fellow Christian a "cultist".
