  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Let's put an end to all this yapping about Noah's Ark once and for all, shall we?

I submit that Noah's Ark was a horizontal TARDIS booth,* which held thousands, if not millions of animals and provender.

What say you?

And for the record, I'm dead-serious about discussing this as I'm submitting it here.

I want to see an end to this bologna about the Ark not being able to house all the animals and food and whatnot, once and for all.

For the sake of this thread, I'm willing to accept what scientists say about the number of species in existence in B.C. 2348.

* A TARDIS booth is a booth or room or whatever, where the inside is larger than the outside. Sort of a gateway to another dimension in space.

I say that you are making it up and have no evidence to back up anything you are claiming.

I want to see an end to this bologna about the Ark not being able to house all the animals and food and whatnot, once and for all.

Then supply us evidence for your claims.

Your "theory" is not in the Bible, so it can take a hike.
So you want to shoot down an excellent model that would explain your conundrum with the Ark?

As I suspect, I don't think you guys' have a legitimate complaint about the Ark.

If so, this model should end it once and for all.

AV,

I think you have this confused with one of Royal Caribbean's new cruise ships.

Excellent model? The humility is strong with this one.

It doesn't explain anything if you don't have evidence for it.

As I suspect, I don't think you guys' have a legitimate complaint about the Ark.

How about this one: it never happened.

If so, this model should end it once and for all.

Not even close.

I don't have evidence for the Cross, but that aside, evidence for the Ark isn't the issue here.

This thread is more about the inside of the Ark, than the outside.

Unfortunately, I agree.

The inability of the Ark to hold its contents is not the real issue with you guys, is it?

In fact, it never was, was it?

This thread should expose that.

I actually do have evidence for the cross if you want. There are historical records showing that the Romans at that time executed criminals by crucifixion.

This thread is about the inside of the Ark, not the outside.

Ok then, let's leave evidence for the ark aside for a second. What evidence do you have (Biblical or otherwise) that the ark was larger inside than it was outside?

That's the stuff!

Just don't try and tell me the Ark wasn't big enough to do its job, or I'll reduce you to asking for evidence of this thing that you guys claim wasn't big enough to do its job.

Nope, it is just one more indication that that the entire story was impossible to have happened as described. Other impossibilities are:

1. Not enough water to flood the planet.
2. Not enough food for everything to survive inside for a year.
3. Nowhere for the water to go after the flood.
4. Not enough genetic diversity to ensure species survival after the flood.

Shall I keep going?

This thread should expose that.

There was nothing hidden to begin with.

In other words, none?

Yes, please do.

I want others to see your unwillingness to address the issue that a TARDIS ark could have effectively handled your questions about volume.

What unwillingness? You want me to admit that an imaginary and impossible object, larger on the inside than on the outside, could hold all species on earth? Ok, it could. Happy?

What's next? You will now address the water "issue" with the impossibility that all flood waters came from and went back to Neptune? Oh, wait, you already did that.

Those "theories" are as likely as Aman's theory (err "God'd truth") that the pre-flood world was really a different planet.

Sounds fair, makes as much sense as anything else. For the record I find arguments over the ark's capacity pointless as well, there's no need to explain away an event that seems to have never occurred.

I suppose if that's the best you can do, I'll take it.

I would rather see you call it Noah's Ark, rather than 'an imaginary and impossible object;' but that's your prerogative.

It hurts, doesn't it?
