  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

YOU should discuss the inside of the ark. Since you first advanced your idea, you havent said a peep more about it.
.
What's to say about it? TARDIS booth/TARDIS Ark. 'Nuff said, eh?

And for the record, what does WHAT SAY YOU? in my OP mean to you? an invitation to discuss what's outside the Ark?

I think not.

I think so. If its arguably relevant to you idea.
.
Youre right about this though: Whats to discuss? A miraculous room that sucks up space and mass. Well, OK.
.
But why not instead propose that all the animals just shrunk down to the size of ants?

Or that pixies did it with magic.

Or any number of other imaginary scenarios, all of which have the exact same explanatory power as a TARDIS - which is to say, none whatsoever.

What's wrong?

Can't humans do it with magic?

Chriss Angel can walk on water with his magic.

You have to invoke pixies to make your point, do you?

No, I don't. That's the point. Any imaginary scenario you can offer up is functionally equivalent in its uselessness.

I like the idea of a TARDIS kind of Ark. That's more science fictioney. And I like science fiction.

.
You may use it to your heart's content.

There's no copyright on my TARDIS Ark.

(None on the KJB, either!)

Is TARDIS considered biblical?

Let's put an end to all this yapping about Noah's Ark once and for all, shall we?

I submit that Noah's Ark was a horizontal TARDIS booth,* which held thousands, if not millions of animals and provender.

What say you?

And for the record, I'm dead-serious about discussing this as I'm submitting it here.

I want to see an end to this bologna about the Ark not being able to house all the animals and food and whatnot, once and for all.

For the sake of this thread, I'm willing to accept what scientists say about the number of species in existence in B.C. 2348.

* A TARDIS booth is a booth or room or whatever, where the inside is larger than the outside. Sort of a gateway to another dimension in space.

This seems like super-fun way to make the Ark story "work". Only a couple additional problems:

1. Now that we have an almost unlimited space INSIDE the ark despite it's OUTSIDE dimensions we have the problem of 8 people feeding and caring for all these animals.

2. It will take time to walk from point A to point B in the "Tardi-Ark" and feed all those animals

3. It will take a herculean effort to do so as well.

So on top of Tardi-Ark's internal space issue being dealt with via magic/sci-fi shall we gild the lilly and make Noah's family supermen capable of flying down the aisles like the Flash and feeding all the animals with minimal effort on their part?

Generally this is becoming a VERY interesting story! I can't believe that God left out all these REALLY COOL parts when he wrote it!

Whose YOUR favorite Biblical Patriarch?

I have explained many times before how the feeding of the animals aboard the Ark could have happened, using the widow of Zarephath story as my source.

That is not the topic of this thread, however.
