What is your expertise?

It is a fair question but I do not feel it relevant to the discussions here except to note when something is not a subject for which I have a great deal of knowledge. I try very hard to be honest about that and not go past my what I can report with a reasonable level of accuracy.

Just a point. I am not trying to get into a argument with you. I feel strongly that people of good will can disagree. I can see where you very much believe in what you are writing. It is just that I see things differently.

My faith works for me and in my talks with God, I have heard no argument from him. Generally speaking I talk, he listens. My faith in God is of deep comfort to me and I think I will stay with it unless I see a good reason to change.

You are perfectly free to disagree with me but you are not free to tell me I am wrong. Only God can make that determination and I feel comfortable in my relationship with God, warts and all. I try as best I can to live according to the teaching of Jesus, especially with focus on the Sermon on the Mount.

Take care,

Dizredux

So when you talk to God, do you tell him there was no flood? Tell Jesus there was no flood. In your opinion of course.

I'm not angry with you. Don't be listening to Satan. I don't get angry with anyone who does not believe as I do, unless they are trying to suppress the truth.

Genesis 6:12
And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted their way upon the earth. RSV

That actually changes the meaning, by saying all flesh rather than people, it condemns animals as well.

Wow, you do realize that Dizredux is a Christian, right?

It's OK Sarah. Christians get to ask questions unlike Evos who are not allowed to criticize anything their scientists say.

Untrue, the scientific community specializes in doubting and pushing its own practitioners again and again to prove their theories and experimental results. Those that are revealed to be frauds often never can get work in their scientific field again.

You can't study and test evolution without being criticized by both colleagues and people outside of the scientific community.

We - and anyone, for that matter - can criticize anything scientists say. There's certainly nothing stopping us.

Now, if we criticize and do so from a position of ignorance, stating arguments that show a misunderstanding of the topic at hand, we can't expect to be taken seriously. But we certainly are allowed to criticize.

I'm saying you have to accept whatever they tell you without criticism. Your evidence for evolution is often whatever they publish.

They say living in Australia changed the animals into marsupials. Gee. I was thinking of moving to Australia. Now I'm not sure.

The only critics you have are Creationists and nobody wants to listen to them.

You are very very wrong in that one my friend. 1, even if my only evidence was the work of other people, how would that be lesser than your position, which only has the bible and the interpretations if that ancient text?

2, I rarely use the published works of others who are interpreting observations for me. I observe the world, and make up my own mind on what seems to make sense. I am not allowing myself to be force fed information to regurgitate later.

I criticize certain aspects of evolution all the time, I will gladly voice them to you if you like, the theory isn't perfect by any means. It just seems to explain certain observations the best currently.

No, moving to Australia won't make you a marsupial, that isn't what happened.

OK What happened? Based on your own observations of course.

Simple, through a quirk of events it just so happened that marsupials were in higher numbers on that continent than in other places (there are marsupials outside of Australia). Because Australia had fewer native animals to compete with these marsupials, there were more evolutionary opportunities and thus why there is such a variety of marsupials in Australia.

You observed that?

Fossil records on that continent tend to suggest it. I looked at the collection of them myself, there are lots of sites where you can select geographic areas and look at photos of fossils that have been found there.
