Yes, why?

It was a containment vessel: like Moses' ark and the Ark of the Covenant.

So if the Ark was designed as you claim it was, it would simply rise with the water, and sink when the water receded -- it was built for stability, not traveling, wasn't it?

Specifically, I think it was a TARDIS box, but the focus of this thread is New Jersey, not the Ark.

Well then, that settles it right there -- Jersey pines don't build TARDIS boxes (you're better off shopping in Gallifrey for the materials), so the ark couldn't have been built from them.

No, your problem is geography. What I'm waiting for is how you present the break up of Pangaea without the earth becoming a molten mass (basic physics).
Nope.

The purpose of this thread is to show why I believe Noah lived in [what is now] New Jersey before the Flood; not some side issue.

If he lived in New Jersey the bible would say it was in New Jersey instead of the Mountains of Ararat. You have a huge geography problem, not to mention an even bigger problem with geophysics and thermodynamics.

Well instead of asking people questions, just show us. Stop beating around the bush.

The Ark ENDED its journey in the mountains of Ararat, not BEGAN it.

It's basic physics.

And how does basic physics take the Ark from New Jersey and drop it in the Mtns. of Ararat?
You do realize "it's basic physics" is just a metaphor, do you not?

And he got to New Jersey from Mesopotamia by land? That is the problem. As others have explained, the rift that formed the Atlantic Ocean was many millions of years ago. There is no way Noah could have gotten over to New Jersey, unless he sailed with the Vikings.

You seem to be suggesting that this rift occurred within recent history, so Noah could have walked across to New Jersey and used the pine barrens. The Atlantic Ocean could have ripped open later. The problem with this is simple physics and heat transfer. Rocks can stretch and move verrrrry slowly with great force, and in fact, this is what is thought to have happened in the Atlantic. But if you tried to open up the Atlantic in a few centuries or less, it would take unimaginable force and energy that would crack the rocks and evaporate the oceans from the shear magnitude of the energy involved.

You can have continental drift and long ages. But please don't try to claim an earth that is several thousand years old with massive continental drift. That is out of the question.

How does Noah get from New Jersey to Mesopotamia without opening the "Devils Toolbox" (your term for creation science)?
Go usher. :)

And for the record, I'm a money counter and check signer.

So I want that plate jam packed!

;)

I only pass the plate. Most members including myself only contribute just one a month, so some weeks pretty full, some not so, but it all averages out. With kids back in school the music ministries are ramping back up as well which will consume much of my time.

Why are you guys indulging this garbage rather than ignoring it?
I had a personal invite to the thread. But more importantly, since the OP is opposed to "creation science" and dubs it as the Devils Toolbox, I am rather interested how he is going to pull this one off.

Which says nothing about the fact that you have repeatedly said that you believe that Noah was from New Jersey.
Why do you believe that Noah was from New Jersey, when all of the evidence, Biblical and otherwise, goes against you?
