Then I'll move on to my next question.

According to Wikipedia, New Jersey is one of ... if not the most .... populated areas for pine trees, called the New Jersey pine barrens.

Assuming the pitch that Noah was instructed to use came from the pitch pine, can you think of a better place for the Ark to have been constructed?

If you can, please be very specific as to where.
I don't know, they were a dominant plant during the Mesozoic

I quoted Gen 10:5 and 32--these are after the flood--there is no mention of any earthly upheavals after the flood, just the dividing of the people into the isles after the flood, after the languages were confounded. Sounds like they were sent to already made isles, not that the continents where split by some earthquakes or anything like that--the fountains of the deep broken up was during the flood not after. Did I miss something??

It's a YES or NO question, Rick.
I gave the most honest answer I could, I don't know. But just for the fun of it, sure. You understand that sure means yes don't you?

Am I wasting my time here?
We both are, but what the hey?

(I wish you & I could be on the John Ankerberg show together.)
Man I'd sure rock the boat there.

Yes, AV1611Vet's personal interpretation.

Which some think is funny.

As I said, the answers stop just shy of seeing my point.

The amazon comes to mind:

I don't recall the type of pitch being specified in the bible.

Assuming Noah wanted the Ark to stay together in one piece, I would suggest a modern shipyard with access to a lot of steel.

CORRECTION:

In Post 9, I changed PACIFIC OCEAN to ATLANTIC OCEAN.

It stands to reason that, with the Atlantic Ocean out if the way, New Jersey would be much closer to Mesopotamia.

Sorry if it caused any confusion.

So the Ark just rose, bobbled around in circles for months, then sat back down?

Aren't you the one who claims that that is all it was designed to do? That the ark was not a "ship," but a vessel; little more than a giant box, as it were?

Yes, why?

It was a containment vessel: like Moses' ark and the Ark of the Covenant.

Specifically, I think it was a TARDIS box, but the focus of this thread is New Jersey, not the Ark.
