You posted it, didn't you?
Yes.Never thought about this until just now!!---hhhmmmmm----if all the water is in one place, then does that mean that it was like one giant island????
Yes.mmksparbud said:Could have been shaped in many ways and still have the seas in one place---
A conversation I had with RickG in another thread.mmksparbud said:what brought this up???
However, your single continent and sea are 150 Ma .Yes.
Yes.
Scientists named this sea: Panthalassa.
A conversation I had with RickG in another thread.
They are not anywhere near close before the breakup or after it.ETA: You can see from posts 4 & 10 that New Jersey is MUCH CLOSER to Mesopotamia.
According to Post 10, could a person living then WALK from New Jersey to Mesopotamia? They are not anywhere near close before the breakup or after it.
That the Flood was global, and not just relegated to the area of Mesopotamia. And the importance of New Jersey and Mesopotamia being closer or further away is________________???
I know of global flood believers that think all the water was teleported to Neptune, so I'm sure putting Pangea at the wrong time is within the realm of what someone somewhere might believeThis thread stems from a conversation I just had with RickG.
I shall try to be as concise as I can with my questions, and all I ask in reply is for honest answers.
Question: In your opinion, are there some global flood believers out there who believe the earth was one giant landmass in Noah's time?
Just YES or NO please?
No, that assumes a proposed super continent 6000 years ago held some special configuration.Question: Doesn't it logically follow that New Jersey would be much closer to Mesopotamia, since the Pacific Ocean is elsewhere as a part of Panthalassa?
A couple thousand miles at the very least, and don't forget that 150 ma ago would have dinosaurs.According to Post 10, could a person living then WALK from New Jersey to Mesopotamia?
There are global floods documented in the mainstream scientific literature, but what we are talking about is sea level rise, not a flood that covers all land. That the Flood was global, and not just relegated to the area of Mesopotamia.
BTW, engineers have shown that a boat the size of those described in the flood story would break apart because an all wood boat that big is will not hold together. The Ark didn't just rise up, bobble around in circles, then set back down, but actually traveled about three thousand miles from its point of origin.
So, what happened after the flood with the position of the continents? In addition, Noah was building an Ark in a landlocked area; a unique display of faith.
Then I'll move on to my next question.A couple thousand miles at the very least, and don't forget that 150 ma ago would have dinosaurs.
