I don't see the debate here from the side of Christians.

It is God who calls you and not the other way around.

People who are called upon by the Lord intrinsically know that homosexuality is wrong and is a sin.

I hear homosexuals here complain about being unhappy or fears about lonliness.

Read the Bible. Sinning out of fear or for self-endulging is not Christianity.

I am not lonely. I am not unhappy. I am very happy, in fact. I love my life.

Yeah, you must be reading the wrong forum. It's illegal to have conversations that are sexually explicity. Not conversations concerning the concept of sexuality or the age/when you should start having sex. Besides, I myself am a lesbian.

What? This is a bizarre statement. It sounds like you are trying to dismiss what another poster says. You also don't seem to recognize the difference between having a discussion about sexual orientation and having an explicit sexual conversation. Sexual orientation is not sex. And a discussion about sexual orientation is not sex either.

Sexual orientation is simply a human characteristic, like being left-handed.

Whether I favor her opinion or not, do not dismiss her because of her age. Listen to what she has to say. There is a verse on this! With all due respect. Of course we must respect our elders too, but it's kind of hard when you say "Shut up, kid."

We don't have conversations about sex here first of all. It's about sexual orientation. Secondly, don't insult me. I'm far smarter than that. And lastly, that would be amusing. Seeing as that's what I want to major in.

I kind of have more confidence in a Christian Forum than that anyway. But if anything like that happens, don't worry, I think I can take care of myself on the internet.

Exactly. I don't see why her saying she's a lesbian is any more dangerous than saying she's heterosexual. And as long as she doesn't give away contact details (and there's no reason to think that she would) she'll stay safe.
We had the same conversation about younger members posting in here before, and the issue was brought up by the same person both times. Can we not just let it rest now? Conversations on the morality of homosexuality don't have to be sexually explicit. If there are, we have rules to get rid of such posts.

All I can tell you is that if my 14 or 16 year old was on line discussing sexual issues with a 40yo I would kick that perverts butt.

Certainly want to say that at 16 a person is fully capable of having a mature discussion and debate about sexuality.

At 16 in particular someone is not a minor. Under UK law it is fully legal for them to be sexually active with another person aged 16 or older.

I see no problem with older teenagers taking part in discussion here your going to be plenty aware about the issues raised here when you are 14,15,16 etc..

But the OP addresses what God calls and says not what people think.
But I get the sense that Carmody is correctly saying that the mark of a believer is knowing they are sinners and therefore what sin is. Romans 2 starts by saying to believers that believers know they do the same things, its the non-believers who then say ah some of those sins arent sin. That is the indication Romans 1 isnt for them as they dont believe it.
