Quddūsun Allāh, Quddūsun al-qawī, Quddūsun alladhī lā yamūt urḥamnā.

The Antiochian Orthodox Church, by the way, is the same Church that's been present in Antioch since Peter and Paul preached the Gospel there, and the Acts of the Apostles reads, "And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians."

That also goes for Marionites in Lebanon. IIRC Sgt. Maxwell Klinger (and Jamie Farr) was/is Marionite.

Yes, the Maronites are Syriac Christians who are in communion with Rome, and they are part of the same ancient Syrian Christian community which has existed there for the last two millennia. Like other Syrian Christians, they worship in both Syriac (a form of Aramaic, the same language Jesus spoke) and Arabic.

The thing I find odd is that if someone were truly confident in what they believe, then reading something which contradicts it shouldn't be threatening. Yet when presenting creationists with material that contradicts their views, they demonstrate remarkable evasion of said material.

Fear? Laziness? What's the deal?

Fear.

IMO, folks who need to reject well evidenced science, because it contradicts their faith belief, likely have deep insecurities about their belief and this is why the defense mechanisms they display are so potent.

In all fairness, there are plenty of times I simply don't bother to click a link to a website or watch a Youtube video. For example, there's a very good chance that if a flat-earther posts an hour long video that "proves" the earth is flat and that the sphericity of the earth is a massive demonic conspiracy perpetuated by Jesuit Mason lizard people--nobody got time for that.

So at the very least I can understand not bothering with someone you already regard as pure bananas.

Even if I would agree that looking at the verifiable evidence of a claim is something worth doing and simply avoiding something because it disagrees with my current views isn't helpful. I can still understand the natural response to roll one's eyes at something one is already quite thoroughly convinced is silly.

Is that all you were looking for?
The outside shell?

The physical body.

The person I was responding to was objecting to biological evolution with as argument that "we are made in god's image"... Implying that we couldn't have evolved because god created us directly to look like him.

This would only make sense if god has a physical body that looks like the body of a homo sapiens. Does he?

No?

Then that "argument" against evolution, makes no sense at all.

Sounds like one wants his cake and eat it too...

No, you are clearly trying to overload me with something I don't know about and would have to look into in order to make my point in the way you want me to make my point, when you know perfectly well I've made the point here several times.

Did you just admit that you are here, making "points" about things that you don't actually know about?

And if you choose to "think" that just because I refuse to waste my time on an unnecessary challenge, that proves science proves nothing, you may think that if you like, you all may think that it.

Run Forrest, Run!

I think I already stated how much I care what you think on this particular matter.

Considering that you are still posting about this particular matter after all this time... it seems like you care quite a bit.

Which genetic evidence?

The genetic material that is visibly expressed?

Or the genetic material that isn’t visibly expressed?

Both.

And you suggest that there is a shared ancestor between these two species rather than their intermingling

So when's the last time that you have witnessed 2 individuals of completely different unrelated species come together to breed and produce fertile off spring?

It's quite funny actually, how you are trying to "support" your bare claims that fly in the face of reality by just piling on more bare claims that fly in the face of reality

The original starting point of course.

What original starting point?

All that a scientist can do is back into the physical evidence that he has.

That's all that any rational person can do. The alternative is backing into your imagination.

He can’t go back to the very beginning

Neither can you. No matter how much you like to pretend to.

LOL?

Descend?

No we didn’t descend from these viable offspring sir

We didn’t need the apes as our starting point to become man

Men were men
Apes were apes

Those offspring shouldn’t have been viable to begin with and thanks to GOD HE prevented these offspring to continue to be viable

So you are taking back your words then about that "intermingling"?

Do you even keep track of all the claims that you are throwing out there?
It sounds like you don't...

You probably don’t understand what I’m saying

Honestly, I think you yourself don't even understand what you are saying.

It would certaintly explain why your claims are all over the place.

It may not be he who is smart (although I’m sure he is) the problem may be on your end.
