New/ Reinstalled Features: Mood, Armor of God, User Stats, User Local Time

New Features:


Mood

You can now select your current mood from your user panel (a link at the top of the navbar) or by clicking the "edit" link under your username in a post. This way other members know how you are feeling.

User Stats

There are now user levels and 3 other bars as well. Level increases as you post more and hang around more. Activity shows how active you are. Longevity is a calculated value of how active and how long you've been a member. Experience is how much you have got to go before achieving the next level.

User Rating

Easy user rating dropdown menu has been reinstalled.

User Photos

An icon will show under the username in posts of users who have photos in their profile.

Armor of God

The armor of God has been reinstalled into member's posts.

 

I'm going to trial out these things to see how they go. The server load should be still minimal...

You can now disable these features in your Control Panel, by going to Options and then switching "Show user's avatar, age, gender, flag, armor, stats and user ratings in their posts?" to "No". This will give you an uncluttered thread, with minimal graphics.

 

NOTE: You can now disable each option in your Control Panel Options. You can individually disable the "Age, Gender, Flag, Photo" icons, OR the "Mood, Activity, Longevity, Experience, Rating bar stats" OR the "Armor of God".

I spent a long time doing this - hope you enjoy this function. Want to return the look to the previous format? Just disable the "Stats" and the "Armor of God".

that does look better,
but what about havng the option to be able to see each thing optionally? like, the age and avatar and everything be separate...

whered the option go to see if someone is a mod also?

I forgot to put back the staff icons - it's back. At this stage, I am not going to be setting up individual image enabling/ disabling - if you don't want images, then just disable them. Otherwise, you will see them all. Took me long enough to set things as they are.

Too busy looking! Cluttered boxes make it all hard to look at!

I really like it when it was just the basics. I like seeing people's avatars and such info, but since activity, longevity and experience don't seem to mean anything, why would we need to see all that on every post?

looking better now.. but it makes 1 post about 1/4 of a page long? what is level: level: 21 though??
and yes, the activity thing is kinda confusing.... looks like im playing an RPG or somthin.

What is the point of all this? Why fix something that isn't broken? Yesterday, everything looked fine, today, it looks stressful and cluttered, and kind of ugly. Please just put things back to the way they were.

Also, i don't like how the username column is so wide. It takes up half the page!

The ID # signifies when you registered. Let's just relax and see how it goes. You don't like it, just disable it.

ya, disable everything, theres some things people want, and some things they dont want.... lots of options are always good to have..
