The font WILL be coming soon. :) I'm at work at the moment. Setting the whole system up took the whole weekend for me, plus all of last night! I've hardly had any sleep, and there are still a few bugs I need to work out.

I will be adding more custom user options to the CFShop, so it's not just the way it is. :) Please be patient - and I am LISTENING to the members - I will continue to improve the system.

But, if a person is to have all the cool things, they need to have a lot of blessings. To me, it looks like blessings is the "money" on this board... I don't see how we have to use blessings to get what we used to be able to have for no blessings. I actually find myself more concerned about how many blessings I have and what I can get from the auctions and the armor and bank things I don't participate as much as I used to on the forums...

Well, the prices are a little less restrictive, so I managed to buy back my glow, but still... I don't like the fact that I had to buy it back to begin with. And I agree with Servant4Ever. Blessings ARE the money on this board. At least, that's very much what it appears to be like.

Hense my likening it to the haves and havenots.

Now I feel like an idiot :p

Thanks, Erwin. Please don't think I'm a butthead for disapproving of this CFShop thing. I just never liked things that put a person's popularity as an utmost importance. Or... stuff that excludes a large amount of people, because they're not quite so well-spoken, or outspoken... *shrugs*

Sorry.

Is it really a problem that it costs some blessings to change the color of your username? I don't see why so many people seem stressed out about it. It's not a big deal. Seriously. What's really important is the content of your posts, not the appearance. That's just to make it more interesting. Do you really think someone will ignore what you say, just because your username is plain and black?

Like I said before: The costs have gone down, it's less restrictive, so... I'm gonna deal. I just didn't like the fact that I had to buy back what I had before.
That was most of the irratation right there, but I'm pretty much over it now. More power to you, Erwin. I hope the bugs get worked out soon, and we'll have a system that everyone will be happy with. :)

I do have to agree that the store makes things a little restrictive. I'm a new member, the only reason I have a decent amount of blessings is because I did well in the arcade. It'll be awhile before I can use most of the features in the CFshop...it does make blessings seem more like money and less like trivial points.

I really can't afford to donate to this site. I've done it a couple of times in the past when i've had a few extra pounds, but i can't do it on a monthly basis. Paying using blessings for things like armour is great - a bit of fun for those who want to do it, but currently i'd have to make at least 1500 additional posts in order to make my username and user title look like they did before. There's a difference between enhancing the site for dedicated users, and making the site less accessible for those who don't spend quite so much time here, and to be honest these recent changes move it towards the second option. Don't get me wrong though- i love these recent changes and am saving blessings up in the bank for perhaps one or two cool items...or maybe a pet, but it is too much asking members to make either hundreds of posts or donate to the site in order to change the colour of their username. It's a good job i asked for my username to be changed a couple of days ago- otherwise i would have had to make 100000 posts just to change it.

EDIT: Also just a thought, but the reason i always loved the blessing system was that it was on the whole pointless. I could give my blessings freely to whoever i wanted and not really care cause they didn't matter- they were something i could give anomonously and hopefully make the receiver happy for just a moment. Now everyone seems to be saving or banking there blessing to buy cool things to supplement their posts. Is that really what CF is about? I would be intrigued to see figures showing how much people have actually blessed other people over the past few days
I agree, it seems that it is moving more and more to those who have the money to donate. These last changes seem to highlight that.

^ Actually the way its set up, in order to get LOTS of blessings (Which one needs to afford the gold & diamons & such) you DO have to donate real money to CF. That wouldn't be a problem, but some people just can't as I posted earlier. Theres some really young people on here who I'm sure don't have tons of money, and theres people like myself who just went over $7000 in debt and have to give up my computer & phone for awhile. I've thought of e-mailing my own family for money, so it would be hard to donate at this time.
Thats Ok though, a double bladed sword is a most formidible weapon :D I think I'd keep it anyways.
