I'm getting better at resisting the urge to correct every heresy that pops up in there. I have long recognised that my particular gifts do not lie in that area, especially as I still struggle way too much with the passions.

Same. I struggle with being angry and bitter, delving into borderline misanthropy, thus it's a smart idea for me not to try to go refute everybody.

I just went down to General Theology. I'm traumatized. Maybe scared for life. So, I came back to my safe place.

I DO do hope you wiped off your shoes, after wandering through General Heresies?

I have to admit that I appreciate some of the other areas of CF, not that I engage much there. They remind me of where I've come from, and grateful for where God has led me.

The ongoing presence of the Orthodox East in this forum is a great comfort to me. One of the things that really became apparent to me when I joined was that the place is full of all the ancient heresies, and generally those who espouse them have insufficient history to recognise the antiquity of the heresies they promote.

I know this is supposed to be the fun thread, but I don't want to start a new thread for this - today I had the horrifying experience of a visiting priest missing my mouth with the spoon during communion. He hit my upper lip. So, I stuck my tongue out to try and stop any of the wine from spilling..... I think he was pretty horrified too.

Wow. I don’t know how I would react...not covered in my catechism.
