It took me a second to get that one. Brilliant though - and I'll agree with Matt - also cruel lol.

It reminds me of something. And it was surprisingly hard to find a picture of it. I guess it's something I learned from my mother since I saw her do it.

Someone gives you a box of assorted chocolates. The kind without the "guide". Well, I like to know what I'm getting. And I like to make my favorites last more than one bite. Some I might dislike enough not to want to eat the whole chocolate. And they are mine, right? So I would normally do this ...

One (much tinier) bite out of each. Then I'd go back later and decide which ones I wanted another tiny bite of and so on.

I guess I've been doing a terrible thing. The only photo I could find (above) was from a blog where someone decided to do it and said she felt like she was breaking some rule.

But that's how I always ate chocolate assortments.

It can lead to disappointment if anyone else sees the box open though ...

(And I don't get to eat chocolates anymore so ... I guess I've repented by necessity lol.)

Ha! We used to do something similar when I was a kid, putting a box fan behind a tray with water or ice.

It's amazing how cooling can be possible. On the farm we had a commercial outdoor fan set in the area for the rabbits (they would literally have seizures and die in the continued 110F heat) and I attached those low-volume misters to the front. It created a large area that felt almost air-conditioned. My llama used to go into the rabbit area and lie down in front of the fan most days to keep cool.

My sister-in-law's husband grew up in Russia. During summer they would leave the cold water running in the shower, with a fan blowing air from the bathroom into the rest of the apartment. Huge waste of water, but that's what it was like in communist Russia.

Next is the engineer. He, too, decides to die facing up. As they slowly raise the blade of the guillotine, the engineer suddenly says, "Hey, I see what your problem is ..."
