I'm getting so tired of this new age bull. All it is is a bunch of the easiest eastern philosophies to understand, mixed with idiotic consumerism (Buy this crystal for $30 dollars! Guaranteed to help you... do whatever the hell it is they do with those crystals). I dunno, maybe it's just the newagers I've met nut it's just a bit too watered down and "feel good" for my tastes. I'm also tired of their little slogans, "We are all one", "All is as it should be", ad nauseum.

But maybe it's just me.

Ah, well by that definition I'm pretty new age myself . I was referring more to the recent new age movements that spawned all those silly psychic hotlines and stuff.

Although R&B does mainly revolve around the same issues, nobody's really forcing you to listen to it. There is plenty of New Age music for you to listen to--buy their CDs and listen to them wherever you can.

There's a great deal of music these days that happens to be disharmonious. What you're saying about R&B does have validity. Look at this website, www.hado.net, and tell me what you think.

It's just that I feel alone, although I met this girl named Ashley, and she doesn't care for R&B either...So I'm thinking that's cool. Really, though...I said that because everytime I go to a function I really am forced to listen to that garbage and I am afraid if I put on some of my music, ppl will literally puke...and so...I'm afraid that if I put on a Double CD some ppl will object... I will look at the site...

I think alot of the newage movment is not very complete. Its mostly teachings from here and there and then call it newage. its really oldage stuff from the east. Newage is mostly subtle healing like aroma therapy, color therapy, gem therapy, mantra and sound therapy and so on, which has been around for ages, as far back as 5,000 BCE. New age is taking something old and giving it a new name and calling it newage But it is really missing alot to it IMO, like 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, the old, and the new is like 1,7,9, (not complete).

But its a good thing as it bringing back the ancient ways

I can understand about listening to what is kosher so to speak of a particular ethnic group....if you want to listen to some really great bands though, and christian in nature, I do like the tooth and nail records label. I disagree. I listen to new age music and find it helps me focus on the Divine (God).

It also makes me relaxed and clears my mind of worries and stress.

To say those who listen to this genre are dangerous and cultic is like saying those who listen to country music are satanists.

Yeah,that water research is something else. I first heard about that in that movie, What the Bleep do we Know? which in my opinion, everyone should see, regardless of religious tradition.
