  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So over the last few years I have slowly wandered into the reformed fold. I was originally a fierce skeptic of Calvinism, this change wasn't something I chose, which is one of the reasons I think it is genuine (get it? ;) )

Anyways, I was hoping to get someone who had the time and inclination to help sharpen my reformed theology. I don't feel that I have as firm a grasp on the doctrines of grace as I do a lot of other theologies and I doubt my ability to effectively defend them. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello :)

I'd enjoy fellowshipping with you on Reformed topics. I have very few with whom I can! I am blessed by the Lord that my husband understands God's Sovereignty in all things, but I really hunger for others with whom I can share this joy with as well. Perhaps we could present some topics to cover and discuss from a reformed view and edify one another?

This sounds really great, what topics would you like to start with?
