Hi there.
You see, I am a gay Jewish boy. That makes my mom very sad. She thinks i am going to hell.
I am afraid too, to be honest. Is our lord and savior really willing to let me burn for the sexuality he have given me?
I am sorry. I am new here. I might be a little too direct. But it's something that's worrying me.
Why did god create me this way? I am in his image, right? So why am i gay? And why is it a sin?
I am sorry. My mind is going crazy right now. I am drunk and sad.... also afraid. :(

Na, not too direct...we've seen much worse. :)

All I can do is comment on it how I understand it, and as I understand it, God did not make you that way. I also understand that the draw is so powerful, one would definitely think they were made that way so don't think I'm minimizing it.

What to do? I guess that depends on you. You know what the bible says about it, and in spite of what we would like to think, the Bible still says what it says. That would be the first thing I would think you need to get past.

Do you want to try to change?

And remember, we all had things we had to change in order to get into the good graces of God, so in general anyway, you aren't alone in having to stop something that is very hard to stop.

Jesus died for our sins honey. God also forgives us whenever we humble ourselves and ask forgiveness. He doesn't pick and choose who or what he forgives or who he loves.

Hey, how are you?

I'm not familiar with the way Jewish people interpret their faith, so I can only talk Christian. (You're Messianic it seems.) My view on the issue of homosexuality is not standard though. Not in the U.S. at least, or the conservative Christian U.S.

I'm from Europe, originally, and I find no issue whatsoever with being gay. You're gay, so what? I'm not gay, so what? Has nothing to do with anything as far as I can see.

The only disclaimer or clarification though I'd give is that there is a difference between being born gay or just living gay. Some people think nobody is born gay, and others say everyone gay was born that way. I don't believe these oversimplifications. If you were born that way, in my opinion, there's nothing you can do about it. You know the answer and God knows the answer, nobody else. And if you were born gay and God knows, why in the world would he condemn you?

Not everybody is born gay though, as upbringing, the environment, peers, experiences, and all that is shaping people. Yes, it's an adaptation process by which the human being seeks to find their way into society. Perfectly fitting with evolutionary theory, as that's how things work. Why LGBTQ activists are not into that view baffles me, but then, they have agendas, I don't.

In the latter case, if you were not born gay but sort of "drifted" into it, through or by which whatever, it would be best to look for some counseling, from a rabbi or priest or pastor or whoever, to help you do some soul-searching.

Life's not that easy. It's very, very complicated. That's why it's so much fun!

Before I close... don't get too deep into that drinking. Lots of gay and trans people especially have a propensity to drown their problems as they find nobody to talk to. Keep talking.

Peace, my brother.

And your take on scripture that prohibits homosexuality? I can quote plenty if you like but I'm giving you credit to already know.

Hi Kenny. Sure I know the scriptures on homosexuality, and misinterpreting them to say things they don't is silly. Both Old and New Testament, especially Paul in Romans, do not applaud homosexual behavior. - The Catholic view would be: You can't change your homosexuality, but in that case it's your duty before God to refrain from acting on it. Sort of a personal cross one has to bear.

To tell a person to "change" though, or to think you can change them if in fact they were born this way is a troubling thing to do. Imagine someone wanting to force you to become gay. It would completely warp your mind.

I get it, that the Bible is a blueprint, but... how did I put that one time? Truth must always take precedence, but in the absence of [love] the truth means nothing.

All I can say concerning the scriptures... I have no idea. It's easy to understand that committing a crime is wrong, but I do have a little bit of a harder time with accepting certain moral ideas. When the Bible does talk homosexuality it's always behavior in light of lust. It doesn't really mention homosexual love as far as I know. The outplay of that in my experience would be, I know a few gay couples, and they're like any other couple. But, living in South Florida, I also know some gay lunacy, and that, indeed, is not pretty. To have objections to the latter I totally understand, not so much to the former though.

What is your view on people who say people are born gay? There is a certain voice/look associated with homosexuality-that isn't genetic?

Another thing-why do people say being gay isn't a sin? Saying having an improper relationship with a person isn't a sin is like saying anything else isn't a sin-it is preposterous.
