It sounds like topless women in your country are at greater risk than those in our "crime-ridden" USA.

I have seen many women topless and nude at California beaches, and have never seen any of them tormented, much less attacked. Usually they are with a man or other women, but some come alone.

These women usually go to beaches where nude use is well established and traditional, but some go to small isolated beaches, which are common in California.

I had a different concept of Finnish society than you describe - has your society changed recently?

It is usually arabs that don’t stand it. They come here as refugees get a blonde girlfriend and She does not behave as an arab, but the rape on beaches it has been more common in Sweden I think.

And scripture tells us modesty means not wearing jewels or braided hair. It says nothing about going topless.

I think that this is pretty clear that God intends for a woman's breasts to only be seen/viewed/enjoyed by her husband. No, I don't think Christian women should take part in topless day. I don't think any women should.

For starters, I'm a man and am not entirely convinced that mens chests should only be seen/viewed (though they are definitely to be exclusively enjoyed) by a man's wife.

First, to say that it is "pretty clear that God intends for a woman's breasts to only be seen/viewed/enjoyed by her husband" is wrong. The primary purpose of a woman's breasts is to nurse the young. Therefore, shouldn't they be seen by babies? They really aren't there to serve as toys for a husband to enjoy.

Second, the scripture you quoted did not in any way say that a woman's breasts shouldn't be seen in public.

Third, you have said that a woman's breasts should bot be exposed in public but you are not "entirely convinced that mens chests should only be seen/viewed by a man's wife." Why the double standard?

many traditional cultures exist where breasts are not sexualized.
I have been to nude beaches and its super nice to be somewhere where even full nudity is not sexualized.
I would love to see humanity get over its collective shame and quit hyper-sexualizing everything
But I don't see it happening in my lifetime.

Seeing nude women does turn men on. But they still have to decide what to do with that sexual energy. Either it goes to their wife or it doesn't. But we've always had to deal with that struggle. It's nothing new.

There is not equality of rights for women and men, and there never will be if exceptions are kept. Women should have this same freedom as men. And you do not have basis from Bible passages that in any of those times breasts of women were never openly in view.

What is clear in the quoted passage is that in marriage a wife should satisfy her husband, by extension a husband should satisfy his wife. It does not itself mean that a woman's breasts are only to be seen by her husband, it would actually make no sense, but it is for the husband to physically enjoy his wife with physical contact, that is not at all the same thing and no basis to withhold equal rights in freedom. The needed equality will come, it would be constitutional in America, and it is not for any of us to stand in the way of that. God is not intending to repress any one group of people from the same things others have.

Always wearing tops continually is not healthy and good anyway.

Definition of modesty have changed over the years. Barbara Eden was forced to cover her navel on I Dream of Jeannie in the 60s. Today we think nothing of seeing an exposed navel.
