w00t! 45 minutes into NaNo and I already have nearly 600 words. I am going to be posting my stuff, but I'm probably going to make it Friends Only on LiveJournal... so get an LJ and friend me, dengit! Or I'll just PM you stuff, too, hehehe. Or e-mail works fine, too.

I'm UnderwaterBonfire at the NaNo boards... well, I just got home from work, so I think I'm going to go write. I'd like to have 4000 words by the end of tonight, and I have 2500 to go.

I wrote 738 words at work this morning. I'll try to get more done tonight at our Meet, but I probably won't. I'd like to get 2000 words today but probably won't. I'll do my best, though!

I decided to bite the bullet (is that the right cliche? I'm horrible with cliches) and register with NaNoWriMo about a week ago....it's quite intimidating, I must confess, but I actually wrote over two thousand words today, so I'm not completely lagging yet (which is good, as it was only the first day)....I keep telling myself (to offset the nagging voice in my head saying I'm just going to make a fool of myself with this and not get anywhere near the word count needed ) that I can do this, and I will do this.... "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I did," like The Little Engine That Could. Oh, I'm rambling....you can tell I'm tired, and need to go to bed, cause I'm rambling. Hehe. G'night.

With the CF downtime coming up soon, I'll have no excuse to slack off on NaNo! Fingers crossed for 10K words during that time.

A lot of people start off really strong but by the end they're not writing much at all.

Other people start slow and really pick up speed by the end of the month.

Other people start okay and then stop before they hit 10,000 words.

And so on and so forth...

I have a feeling I'll be the latter of those three types... Do people seriously have over 12000 words written already? It's only the third day! Yikes! I am very impressed.

Kinda behind, though. Almost to 6000 as of now.

I've got a title, plot, general (but unwritten) outline, and I know how it'll all end, so I guess I'm alright in those regards.

I just don't want to quit. Anything but dropping out.
