The Kilt is normal in Scotland...or at least it was. I don't know much about Scottish or British culture.
Comparing a kilt to a drag queen getup is yet another false equivalency.

Agreed. It's not the same at all. Since the kilt is masculine, NOT feminine.

Well….typically dresses are for women and a man wearing a dress is using a fetish… maybe?

Actually! I don’t know. I’m just rambling.
Is a woman wearing trousers a fetish?

But why is a woman wearing masculine clothes or men wearing feminine close a problem?

Why not indeed? There is nothing salacious about reading a story to kids. Schools and libraries should be grateful for properly vetted volunteers to kid-friendly events, no matter their occupation.

I think we can walk and chew gum at the same time.

We can say that this NH rep was wrong for making false allegations and that Drag Queens (by in large) don't have any intent to commit crimes against children....while also acknowledging that it's not about "just reading a story"

A) the book selections often made are LGBTQ activism books
and
B) even by their own words, on their own website, it's about more than just reading books.

Per their own website: "DSH captures the imagination of the gender fluidity of childhood, and seeks to give children unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy gender restrictions, and imagine a world where everyone can do the same"

...so, again, let's not pretend that "what's the big deal? It's just people from a random occupation reading books" is the reality of the situation...by the same token, making false accusations against people to combat those underlying motives is obviously the wrong approach.

Would we say that this was an "ulterior motive free" "I'm just reading to kids" situation?

Obviously not...it's obviously intended to make a political statement, but making a false accusation against Matt Walsh certainly wouldn't be the appropriate way to respond to it.

Do you think there's any chance that some kids may be inclined to google the name (or other details) of the person that just read to them the day before?

In this scenario, could it be a potential problem that a 10-11 year old may get on their phone and look up "Sasha Grey"?

Or in the case of drag story hour, google "Drag Queens" and perhaps stumble on actual drag performances (which are intended to be for adults due the fact that they often times involve crude humor)?

It's not. Only when it's fetishized/sexualized.

Again, trousers AKA pants are unisex. They're not completely masculine. That's the difference.

That cultural standard is less than 100 years old.

And it's probably the product of liberal indoctrination at universities.

Performing or simply reading books aloud to children accompanied by their parents is not really "hanging out" and you know it.
IT Is INFLUENCING . and that be the works of darkness .
I dont care if they are kind and sit and smile . THE AGENDA is TO GET the KIDS in line with it .
TO decieve small children like its all good and okay to do such things .
HOW DO GOD VIEW IT . That is how we should raise our children . Not on what the world thinks or views
But on HOW does GOD SEE IT . raise the child up in the way he or she should go .
AND believe you me , drag queens is not the way for any child to go. Unless we all want to think GOD is wrong .

I mean...if DQSH can have their hour at the library, so can Kirk Cameron. It's only fair. Eh?
and therein lies the problem right there .
this is not their goal at all . when they hollered for tolerance
long ago i knew exactly where this was headed . THEY Dont want tolerance
THEY WANT acceptance and the all out eradication of any biblical truth from society . And they winning too bro ..
cause our churches wont even correct sin within our own places .
tolerance has been used to do one thing. SILENCE THE MOUTH of those who speak truth
and it has allowed the Ones who love sin TO SPEAK FREELY . that is what is has done .
When we speak its hate
when they speak they call it love . its working big time .
They could not defeat us by doctrine and sound logic and truth
so what do you do , You make YOU appear the victim and they who speak against you as THE OPPRESSOR who dont love and tolerate .
BUT they can do as they do all over society , walk in public butt naked at parades
but when a man stand up with a bible in his hand , ITS THAT IS OFFENSEIVE , away he goes .

Of course he can have his hour even if he would rather not and giving him it ruins his plans to cry about how persecuted the American Christian is.
