Apparently you were a cultural Christian but never born again, receiving a changed nature. If you were born again you would never deny the reality of it (it would be like denying that the sun is in the sky). I know many, many who were cultural Christians until the became born again.

Does "born again" mean "completely indoctrinated"?

Do you care when people act on their irrational beliefs? like denying blood transfusions to their children or praying for them instead of taking them to a doctor?

They were fishermen who knew only about the things that went on around them, try putting yourself in their shoes/sandles, there was no such thing as 'news' just stories people around them told and with each telling the story changed, everyone who heard a story retold it in their own way adding whatever was needed to make the story more exiting, 10 soon became 50 and 50 soon became 500.

Ever heard of phylacteries? ever heard of writing passages of Scripture on the door posts of your houses?

I would think ... if you would take your own advice and put yourselves in their shoes/sandals ... which is a novelty that scientists refuse to do, since it would dent their image ... that you would realize how hard it would be to play Arab phone with the Scriptures, with the Scriptures outside on the doorposts of your houses.

Some people can't stand the Ten Commandments on the courthouse lawn downtown.
