The anonymous authors of the gospels were not eye witnesses to the resurrection. You only pointed out what you perceive as an inaccuracy. I gave you a possible explanation. In any case, have fun basing your eternal future on minutiae while ignoring the glaring evidence of fulfilled prophecy and the eyewitness accounts of the bodily resurrection from the grave by Jesus Christ.
Once upon a time, there was a planet called "Magic Pink Fairy Land!" where everyone routinely lived 600-900 years old. They lived this old because Magic Pink Fairies are Magic! If you believe that the universe has always been running under the same set of laws, I challenge you to describe to me a hypothetical planet in existence today where people routinely live to be 600-900 years old, and tell me how they live that long under current conditions.
Name one.
The Apostles were firsthand eyewitnesses willing to die for their testimonies. The empty tomb stood as a witness against the nay sayers then as well as now.
I've been through many religions including atheism before Jesus Christ revealed Himself to me in His Word and visions.
Sounds like you've been drinking too much of that Western Liberal Theological Swill. LOLThe anonymous authors of the gospels were not eye witnesses to the resurrection.
Peter, for one who wrote the Epistles of Peter testifies...The authors of the gospels are anonymous and are not eye witnesses.
Sure, and when you talk to Mormons the same thing right along with most faiths. Obviously they are not all true especially when they contradict each other.Nice. And when I talk to Muslims they tell me Allah revealed himself to them.
As I said, the gospels are anonymous. They were all written in third person, decades after Jesus' death, in a language no one in Palestine spoke, none of them are signed by an author, and written in countries Jesus' or his disciples never traveled too. Mark was written first, doesn't include a nativity, and Jesus appearing after his "resurrection" was added much later (Mk. 16:9-20). Matthew and Luke copied much of Mark several decades later, and the Jesus in John is so wildly different, he seems like another person altogether.Sounds like you've been drinking too much of that Western Liberal Theological Swill. LOL
2 Peter 1:16 KJV
[16] For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
Really?... none of them are signed by an author,
An epistle would have been written on a scroll. Often, it was dictated and then reviewed by the author before being delivered by a trusted messenger. For example, 1 Peter mentions that it was Peter’s letter written down by Silvanus, or Silas (1 Peter 5:12). Timothy was involved in the writing and delivery of several of the apostle Paul’s letters (Colossians 1:1; 1 Thessalonians 1:1; Philemon 1), although Paul signed each one to verify that he was the author (Galatians 6:11).
Because I have the Author living inside of me.Why are you unaware that Paul is not the author of the gospels, and the disciples are not the authors of Paul's epistles?
No, he likely puts more credibility into the NT scholars and historians, that dont play fast and loose with the historical method.Sounds like you've been drinking too much of that Western Liberal Theological Swill. LOL

I think Peter the disciple was an illiterate fisherman?Peter, for one who wrote the Epistles of Peter testifies...

Ya ... God overlooked that, didn't He?I think Peter the disciple was an illiterate fisherman?Only a select few could write in those times. Also, the NT was written in greek and Jesus' followers didnt speak greek.
If God overlooked it, I'll overlook it too.No, you did.
Ah, so he moved the goalposts? Why am I not surprised? And I offered him examples of just such a planet -- this one -- and noted that if humans had some of the traits of certain long-living animals, they too would live long lives.
He rejected such a proposal, making it clear he wants "hyoo mun bee yings." Ergo, he wants the same biology as well.
And if God accepts it, I'll accept it too.Yes, we know.
