Jesus Christ is most definitely God. He created Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, in his image. He is the Creator of the universe. The Bible says, “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made” (John 1:3). This includes all the Stars, all the original animals and plants, and even the angels (Colossians 1:15-17).

It is important not be confused. God did not create Jesus. Jesus is God, and he has always existed.

Jesus proved that he is God by doing many things that only God could do. These are called miracles. He made dead people alive. He walked across a great lake. He made blind eyes see perfectly again. He healed deadly diseases with a word.

The exciting truth is that Jesus is now also a man, and will remian so for all eternity. He humbled Himself to become like one of his own creations. He chose to become a man to help us in an extremely important way. This amazing event happened about 2-thousand years ago. The results have changed the world forever.

The part of God that is called the Holy Spirit created God's human body inside of a woman named Mary (Matthew 1:20). God went into this human body that grew inside of Mary. The baby was born and grew into a man.

At various times in the past, Jesus had appeared to people in human form. One example is when he appeared to Abraham just before the judgment of the evil cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. But now, for the first time in history, God did not simply appear as man, he became fully human. Yet, he is still God. He is both God and man.

One huge difference between this man and every other man and woman, or boy and girl, is that Jesus was (and still is) sinless. We humans are full of sin. We sin every day. Jesus never did anything wrong, not even once. No matter what temptations came to him, he refused to sin. He has always remained pure and perfect.

Isn't it amazing to think about?! Our Creator walked among us. Like us, our Almighty God smelled the flowers and touched the animals that he had created. He loved boys and girls.

As a man, God experienced the same temptations that we feel (Hebrews 2:18). He suffered the same kind of physical pains that we suffer with. He also experienced emotional pain. He even wept about the city of Jerusalem (John 11:35). He was ignored, unappreciated, unloved, misunderstood, and even despised—even though he did nothing wrong, and always loved everyone (1 Peter 2:23). Not only is Jesus Christ the greatest man that ever lived; he is our Creator. He deserved all glory and honor!

Have you heard what people did to him? It was horribly painful and terribly unjust. They crucified Him.

He had the power to stop their torture and taunting at any time. His power is awesome beyond anything we can understand. Yet, he did not defend himself. He let himself be like a perfect, innocent little lamb that hurt no one, and was sacrificed for the sins of the people.

He did this for us, because he loves us. Only he could pay the price for our sins. Only he could save us from the punishment we deserve. He suffered for us (1 Peter 2:21; 3:18; 4:1).

Today, he lives in Heaven and works to help us (Romans 8:34). The Bible tells us that one day he will return to earth to become the rightful king of the entire world. That will be a most wonderful time! Finally, we will have a leader that is good and wise in every way. The earth will be filled with God's glory and justice. Life on this planet will become so much better. Even the dangerous animals will become harmless (the wolf will lie down with the lamb) (Isaiah 11:6).

Is Jesus Christ God or man? The amazing answer is BOTH; he is God and man.

Why did God become a man?

God did this wonderful thing for various reasons, including:
  1. To fulfill the prophecies of God's Word
  2. To satisfy the law, paying for all who are guilty of sin (Isaiah 53; Hebrews 9:12, 15). By his sacrifice, he purchased the right to give us salvation.
  3. To show us an example of how to live, and to tell us important stories face-to-face.

I have many questions for now ,
1.If jesus the son and god created Adams What Father the god was doing ?
2. Since jesus has this power why did he need to be born by a woman ? I mean why didn't he just changed to a man without being borned?
Don't you think that we still talking about three and not one?
3.do you mean who make a miracle he is a GOD?
4.Through (him) all things were made...accurding to this verse , Is bible word of GOD ?

These is my questions till now

Jesus and what He taught, either the Father has enabled you to believe Him, or not. You should read the Gospels and see for yourself.

I can testify there is not another person on the planet I envy, so happy am I in the Christian faith. Not even across the full span of history.

Most people I feel real sorry for and wish they could know the joy I know.

How does one express such things in one's heart.

It is unseen... requires faith enabled by God to see and believe.

I'm wishing you happiness forever and for always

and I'm happy either , to be right here with such nice ppl like u

thanx alot

In a word: No. God is three Persons. A person does not require a body. If he did, you'd be extinguished the moment you die. And yet Jesus repudiated that Himself: "But that the dead are raised, even Moses showed, in the passage about the bush, where he calls the Lord the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. Now he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for all live to him." Lk 20:37-38

There is no limit on the number of persons in God.

There is a limit on the number of persons in a human being.

The Father is God -- John 6:27, 8:54
The Son is God -- John 1:1, 10:30, 20:28-29
The Spirit is God -- John 4:24, 1 Cor 2:11-12, 1 Cor 3:16

How did we knew all these things about jesus and christianity ?

Is it bible ? Is bible holy book?

Something like that, but not "like God", he is God, he is God made flesh.

One of the things that makes Christianity unique is that it isn't about rules, what you can and can't do. It's about a personal relationship - made through grace and love. Because of that love we try to follow the guidelines set for us through the Bible but if we fall off the path then that is not the end for us. We have the hope of forgiveness.

thanx , but just give me one good reason to choose christianity
God gave us a brain to think
not just to follow

Let me jump in here although it is my first post in the new christian section. We are separated from God because of our sins. The only way the one and only holy true just God can accept us is if our sins are removed. Why? Because since God is totally pure and totally just, if sin is in His presence the sin will be destroyed. Thus we need a way to remove the sins.

Now, Christ was the chosen one to take on our sins for us so we can be pure and blameless in God's eyes. How Christ did this was:
1) He was born of a virgin
2) He lived a sinless life.
3) He was crucified for our sins on the cross.
4) He died for our sins.
5) He rose from the dead to conquer death, hell and the grave.
6) He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God.
7) He intercedes for Christians to God.
8) He is coming back a 2nd time to be the ruler of this world and take Christian to heaven.

Now, if Christ isn't in ones life to be the ransom for their sins, how can you have your sins removed? Also, if you view it as doing "good works", how do you know when you have enough "good works" to out weight your sins?

Bottom line is we can never have enough "good works" to save us because once sin is in our lives, we can't remove it. If we can't remove it, God can't accept us. And, since we can't remove it, God provided a way which is through Jesus Christ to remove our sins.

The bible states Christ words: "I am THE WAY, and THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE and no one goes to the Father except THOUGH ME."

These are the words of Jesus. He made it very clear here that He is the only way to God. The scriptures also state that there is only one mediator between God and man, and it is the Lord Jesus Christ.

I am not saying that muslims are not seeking earnestly after God. The bottom line is what do you do with Jesus? If we say he is just a "good teacher" or "another prophet," then we are still dead in our sins. If we say that "Jesus is the messiah, the Son of God whom takes away sins and saves," then we have a high priest that removes our sins and makes us clean in God's eyes.

Hope this helps!

Yes. The trinity is implied very frequently.

When Jesus is tested in the wilderness by Satan he clearly says "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test." He doesn't say "do not put the son of God".

Also Jesus says
Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one.

Everything in quotes below is straight from different verses in the Bible.

On the Law

...a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified."If, while we seek to be justified in Christ, it becomes evident that we ourselves are sinners, does that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not! If I rebuild what I destroyed, I prove that I am a lawbreaker. For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
Goods works is a result of our faith
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.
Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the "stumbling stone."

On the relationship with Christ
God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.
I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus

OP:

I agree with her post there about the freedom, personal relationship with God, and the love that is God which shines through Jesus Christ. It is an excellent post.

On the trinity and on "the difference", I will elaborate, also being somewhat familiar with Islam.

There are countless religions in the world. Truth be told - and some Christians will not like this, but it is true - there is some truth in most of these religions.

But, in Jesus we find the full truth and that in the Way to God, which is through the rebirth of the Spirit by grace working in faith.

That is Jesus has the Spirit of God in all fullness, being the perfect man, and through the rebirth of the spirit we are made full children of God. This process is as designed from before creation.

So, it is not by the spirit of Moses, nor Elijah, nor Buddha, nor Socrates, nor anyone else one might be born again: Jesus alone comes from Heaven, and Jesus alone can bring people to Heaven, that is, to God... being both fully God and fully man.

The "trinity" concept is true, but also limited and can be confusing to some people... they can resist it based on their idea that God is distant and should remain distant, and that God can not possibly become a man. But, this misunderstands the basic concept of God, and also tends to be deep hypocrisy for many of these other religions act as though they are God in their decisions, in their words, and in their deeds.

First important thing to remember here is: "God alone is good".

If, then, God alone is good, how can anyone else ever do any good whatsoever and therefore please God?

It is absolutely impossible, in fact, it is blasphemy, and this is the very "blasphemy of the Holy Spirit" Jesus was speaking of.

(It is not forgivable, for it is the one sin which can not be forgiven... not because it is something "so bad", but simply because it is not a matter to be forgiven. It is a matter to be changed by the rebirth of the soul in the faith, through the Holy Spirit.)

Again: Only God is good. Absolute truth.

What is ironic are many sects and religions which come forth from Abraham - in one way or the other, true or false - understand and believe, or rather, "know" God alone is good. Yet, they do not act this way.

They act as though they can actually do and say good apart from God.

They can not.

In Christianity, we do and say good not apart from God, nor even from our own selves, but the Spirit of God lives in us and through the Spirit of God we are given deeds and words.

This is also clear from Scripture. All of the good deeds and words from the Prophets and Apostles were not from their own power or spirit, nor from their flesh, but from the Spirit of God moving through them.

There is literally no other way.

"Trinity", useful shortcut doctrine, but there is more to the whole matter then just "three", for all are called to be true children of God, the loving eternal Father who made us all.

We were made imperfect, for this very reason. We are as characters in a Book the Lord God has written, and His intention from the very beginning was to make us truly alive -- not just characters on a page.

We are as Pinnochio, I hate to say, but it is an awesome story... not real, but created... and we long to be "something more", to become "a real boy", or person.

(And that is why that story and stories like it have such enduring popularity, because of the deep truths it touches, so even children might recall how it is we are all called to something much greater then just what we see with our eyes and hear with our ears in this world.)

Hope that helps.

Let me know if it does.

for me, the simplest way to understand this lays in a parable of sorts:

a farmer was sitting next to his wood stove one winter night, nice and toasty. he looks outside into a nasty blizzard and sees these two little sparrows. they are freezing to death. disheartened by this, the man trudges out into cold and opens the door to his barn hoping the birds would find reprieve from death. but as soon as he came out side the birds were frightened by the sight of him and tried to fly away. the farmer tried again and again to shew the freezing birds into the barn. frustrated, the farmer thought, "if only i were a bird! i would show them the way to safety!".

and thats why Father God came to earth as Jesus Christ. God, in man's form, could show us the way to salvation from the storm.

hello Andreha
how it can be , jesus is iqually to god but he is son of god ? This thing really confuse me
if i told my teacher that 3 = 1 he will give me 0 .
1=1 and 3=3
the 3 can't be 1
it's wether 3 gods or 1 god
an example : a big company owned by 3 twins look alike . you'll say (they) are (partners) . But if the same company were owned to just one , you'll say (he) is (great owner)

in the Islam forum they told me there is only one God , this is less complicated

what is the holy spirit , what does it look like ?

Thanx again bro.

I don't know if someone has answered this yet but what they are referring to is the trinity. The way I like to look at it is God as a hair product. Like if you see a hair product that has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in one container its like 3 uses in one container. If that makes sense? lol I hope I didn't confuse you more.

God does not want us to be confused nor does Jesus here is a conversation Jesus had with one Nicodemus

Jhn 3:1 ¶ There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

Jhn 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

Jhn 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Jhn 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

Jhn 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Jhn 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Jhn 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Jhn 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Jhn 3:9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

Jhn 3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

Jhn 3:11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

Jhn 3:12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you [of] heavenly things?

Jesus said that unless you are born from above/born again you can not even see the Kingdom of Heaven. So we must first be born from above by the Spirit, we cannot understand without the Spirit. Before I was born from above the Bible was a locked book, I would try to read it and it didn't get through to my heart, sure I could understand the words, but they didn't change me. After I trusted Jesus and his work of the cross, my redemtion, I began to see and understand in ways I never could before.

As for me and my house we believe that the Holy Bible is the written word of God and once the Holy Spirit is come upon and hovered over me and planted God's dna within me by the very faith of Jesus a gift given as seed when we are born from above, we are able to see the Kingdom of Heaven and have God revealed. As God is revealed through the written word, by the power of the one who comes along side as a counselor, the Holy Spirit, he opens up our new life and spirit so that we begin to understand the mystery of life, Christ in us the Hope of Glory. Praise Almighty God for mighty are His works.
