A little story of what God has done for me. Growing up, I was a huge basketball fan and I wanted nothing more than to be in the NBA. You could kind of say that basketball was the only thing I really strived to grow for, not striving to be a stronger Christian. I was a great player, but come High School I was the tallest on my team at 6'3", making a guard/forward a Center. Well, I didn't end up playing college ball. What got me through some tough times was my first love. She was there for me and helped me through the tough realization that I wasn't going to play ball. Then come the first week of college, she had broken up with me. So there I was without my friends, my first love and my goal in life wasn't met. In those months I became very depressed and told God that I know I can't do it anymore, so my life is yours to take over. What He did was incredible. In the next months, were some of the most depressing yet growing months I've ever had. In my growth, I lost my grandma.....and then unexpectedly, my mom. Though I was very sad about it, God carried me and gave me comfort of knowing she was in Paradise. He continues to carry me today, and I'm honored to say I'm a Christian that will see my Father, Jesus and whole family in Heaven when this life is over!
