And the problem with "his" favorite arguments, is that they don't actually support HIS version of god, but ALL versions of god.
Not hardly.

In point two, I gave seven examples.

All seven of those make a gestalt, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

If you think those seven apply to ALL other gods, then I challenge you to show me.

You can pare the list to apply a few to other gods ... but that's my point: you have to pare the list.

I think we can both agree that was pretty much a non answer, what theory? And you accept a theory as fact, or you you figure that's the best you can do, or something else?
Yes, scientific theories are based on facts. I also figure that scientific theories are the best we can do.

You're missing the point, chief. Anyone can pick seven arbitrary points to support a premise. Doesn't make it true, though.

If you don't believe anyone has ever said science proves there is no God, then go ahead and tell yourself you really showed me the error of my ways...otherwise...please.

You're the one claiming that people have made such claims.
I'm asking you to demonstrate that claim by pointing to posts where this was said.

Can you? If you can't, what is the conclusion I should be drawing concerning that claim of yours?

"Nope" what? Are you even reading the comments you are replying to?

"nope" to the last sentence of the quote directly above it. Being, your claim that we atheists think 'As long as it works, let it ride, if it doesn't...don't.'

Do you even read your own posts?

you are talking what you believe is true and I'm accusing people of not generally stepping up.
But you are doing so on a false premise (so far at least): that people here claim that science proves that no god exists. Your complain about "people not stepping up", is in relation to that premise.

So far, you have not demonstrated that this premise is even accurate.
If it isn't, and people really are NOT saying that science proves that god does not exist, then obviously people don't need to stop up to those people.... since they don't exist.

Unless you are saying you generally step up and make the corrections

I would, if I would actually encounter people saying such things. But that's the point now, isn't it? I do not see people doing this. Which is why I asked you for actual examples, with links to posts, where such things are apparantly said.

you aren't addressing my point at all...

First, demonstrate that you actually have a point. Show us links to posts where atheists are saying that science proves that no gods exist.

and the "nope" suggesting I'm wrong about something means absolutely nothing. Read the post you replied to again, you'll see what I mean.

I've read it and read my own reply as well. I stand by every word.
And I'll repeat my request: demonstrate your claim. Show me where atheists are saying that science proves that no gods exist.

You basically shifted the subject and then essentially said "Nope" you are wrong. You're pretending I'm wrong when I was not. Seen this before, so it needed addressing.

I'm flat out telling you that you are wrong. So far, you fail to demonstrate otherwise.

Pluto got re-categorized as we learned more about the solar system.

It's called progress.

Why in the world would we ever want progress and be willing to accept new evidence? That can really screw up deeply held personal beliefs you know.

All of which, exist in all religions.

No. Every religion comes with its art, literature, holidays, etc.
It's really not that special.

If that was progress ... and if the issue could stand on its own merits ... two questions:
  1. Why did they have to vote on it?
  2. What did they have to rig the vote?

For the the 3,920,021st. time, the vote wasn't rigged. Move on.

Because a label / category is just an arbitrary semantic thing wich changes nothing about our understanding of the thing being labeled.

Open up a newspaper. Chanes are you'll find at least one article talking about a martyr for Allah.
Well, here's a newsflash: Quetzacoatl ≠ Allah.
