Really? You think his mother is going to be happy that instead of making his bed, he chooses to assemble his model railway set? We've moved from a well behaved, tidy self-disciplined boy and proud, happy mother, to a disobedient, selfish, thoughtless boy and a frustrated, angry mother. That is one heck of a macro-change.
You seem unaware that small changes in genotype can produce large changes in phenotype.
So are you going to tell us the point you are trying to illustrate before we degenerate into greater realms of stupidity?Something is changed if it is different to the original.
You made it ... and you're asking me?And what is that change?
Methinks it's an exercise in macro vs micro. So are you going to tell us the point you are trying to illustrate before we degenerate into greater realms of stupidity?
Ok well I've already solved it then.Methinks it's an exercise in macro vs micro.
Bed-to-set is a macro change that resulted in a series of micro changes: b-to-s and d-to-t.
Something is changed if it is different to the original.

"Bed" was changed to "set".
Something something within their kinds! The point is that creationists love to criticize science when they say that one species differs genetically from another species by a certain amount, but different sources give different amounts that they differ by. The reason for this is that some sources says what percentage of base pairs are different, some sources say what percentage of amino acids coded for a different, and some sources use what percentage of genes are different. All are different ways of looking at the genetic code, just like letters, words and sentences are different ways of looking at text.
Yet creationists are so often don't even bother understanding what they are denouncing as false, they just latch onto anything that supports their viewpoint, and people accept what they say as true, because they present themselves as knowledgeable when they are peddling falsehoods.
But it's still a bed set.But I can also say that the B was changed to an S, and the D was changed to a T, so that's two changes, isn't it?
Which claim is more valid, that there is 1 change or 2 changes?
Something to illustrate a point...
Suppose I have this text:
Toby made his bed. Then he went outside.
I change that to:
Toby made his set. Then he went outside.
How many changes have I made?
It's still a bed set though.3. You've changed 2 letters as well as the meaning.
Typical responses to ignorance include:Oh, I'm not familiar with calling a bed a set. :/

What is your usual response? What is your response in this instance?
- Seeking to remove the ignorance
- Declaring the ignorance is unimportant
- Denying the ignorance exists
