Our little dog Toby is currently hospitalized. An x-ray shows a small, thin, pointy piece of metal in his stomach. We have no idea how it got there; nothing at home is chewed or damaged. It's unclear whether the metal is just in his stomach or piercing the stomach wall. He needs an ultrasound, and ideally, a scope procedure to remove it, but all the nearby facilities with the right equipment are currently full or closed on the weekend. If it becomes more urgent, we may have to take him to a big hospital that is far away.
Adding to the stress is that my car is currently damaged. A freak accident occured where a large vulture flew into it while we were on the highway, and it ripped off the driver's side mirror. So now it feels unsafe to drive, since I can't see as well.
Please ask the Lord to intervene. Please ask the Lord that Toby will be okay, and that he will get the treatment the he needs. Please ask the Lord to get us wherever he needs to go safely, and to bring us all home safely too. Please also ask the Lord that wherever we do go will take Toby's veterinary insurance as directpay. The hospital that he is currently in does not, and we had to put $2k on a credit card just to hospitalize him for 8 hours today. We're running out of room on our credit cards (we'll be reimbursed for a lot of it but that could take weeks to process). Please ask the Lord to help us get Toby to a place that has the right equipment and staff, that is a direct pay hospital for the insurance.
