Like the Israelites in the wilderness?Faith is an excuse to believe in unreasonable assertions,
Of course it really happened.Did that really happen?
I don't know if evidence was left behind or not.KTS said:Apart from the story in the Bible, is there any evidence it happened?
Atheists assert that this life is all there is. What evidence do we have? If I believed that I wouldn't waste time on the internet arguing about it, I would instead spend my time more wisely. Atheists know God exists, but they are in denial, and that's why they spend their life arguing about it.
I agree with him.Unsupported assertion.
If you want to preach, go to the appropriate forum, this is not the place.

Given that the Israelites vacated Egypt with just the clothes on their back; given that it was 200 years ago that scientists searched for evidence with what would today be considered substandard equipment; given that scientists would be searching for something they don't believe exists in the first place; I'd say that, even if there was evidence all over the place, scientists wouldn't recognize it.
They'd probably attribute it to Egypt or the Amalekites.
How do you explain the fact that there is no mention by the Egyptians that more than half a million people - who were their labour force! - just got up and left? It would be rather difficult to hide that! And yet there's no real world evidence for it whatsoever!
Their Pride and politics wouldn't allow them to admit it. History is always flawed
Yes, I'm sure that they were able to continue on with their lives as though the loss of a 600,000 strong labour force leaving their country never happened. It's not like they NEEDED such a big labour force, was it? I'm sure all the Egyptians were able to pick up the slack, despite never having done so in the past...
*rolls eyes*
True, but Egypt wasn't without skilled farmers either. People didn't just get on welfare back then, you either grew food, worked for it, or starved. Why assume Egypt would fall over the loss of slaves? Why assume Egypt couldn't use their own people to grow food? But the slaves didn't leave--they were still here to work as employees and sharecroppers.
