Love. When love enters your heart its all the proof you need. Not just a feeling, but an overwhelming joy and peace without fear or anxiety. Its so lovely and praiseworthy. Whats it prove? Nothing to you perhaps, but for me its the meaning of life itself. To think life is a meaningless cosmic accidental phenomenon, or just some purposeless scientific observation, its absurd to me. I cannot believe such a far fetched notion.

Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Notice that word "understand"?

Those who prefer the scientific method over faith can't tell the difference between creatio ex nihilo & creatio ex materia, JEHOVAH & Allah, miracles & magic, dust of the ground & DNA, created & poofed, the Red Sea & the Sea of Reeds, AD & Tuesday, and so on and so forth.

In fact, I've been questioned on why I capitalize pronouns I'm using for the Bible.

It must be hard being a scientific methodist on a Christian website, but the venting and ridicule is worth it, isn't it?

It's a live Book, up to date and able to expose all manner of heresies -- even today.

So it's got self reinforcement built in. You believe it, and it convinces you that you have some great "understanding" of things that others just don't have. And since you have this great understanding, you are more confident that you are right and they are wrong, which makes you even more confident.

Doesn't make you right though.
