I'm still waiting for someone to show a benevolent mutation advancing a species by creating new genetic information and copying it to the reproductive system. Bacteria doesn't count. Bacteria are designed to eat whatever garbage is available.

For your information, the ability to digest the sugar found in milk on into adulthood is a genetic mutation that is currently making its way into the human population. Most of us here in the USA have it. That's an example of a benevolent mutation advancing our species.

Maybe theres a good explanation that in my ignorance I might have overlooked and just don't know enough about to understand that yes this certainly can happen and has indeed happened afterwards
