Her hands trembled as she stood there, she wrapped her arms around herself trying to soothe the pain in her body. As girl with bluish-black hair approached her, she sensed the warm energy get closer. Peta looked up at the girl and gave her a weak smile, Hi, my name is Peta, she said Are u from the FBI academy too? Do you happen to know how to get back there?

Vanorah continued her approach, trying not to startle the other girl. When she got closer the other girl smiled and spoke. That was enough for Vanorah. Her returning smile was tentative but warm. "Uhm, hi Peta. My name's Vanorah and yes I'm from the Academy." Glancing down at the ground shyly, "At least I am now. My dad just dropped me off there today."

At Peta's second question she looked up, an apprehensive expression on her face. "I...don't know. I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going, just wandering around looking for water."

Vanorah brought her gloved hands up to grip her arms and glanced around nervously, eyes wide. "I hope we can find our way back. This place scares me. What if those others come back!?"

Vanorah continued her approach, trying not to startle the other girl. When she got closer the other girl smiled and spoke. That was enough for Vanorah. Her returning smile was tentative but warm. "Uhm, hi Peta. My name's Vanorah and yes I'm from the Academy." Glancing down at the ground shyly, "At least I am now. My dad just dropped me off there today."

At Peta's second question she looked up, an apprehensive expression on her face. "I...don't know. I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going, just wandering around looking for water."

Vanorah brought her gloved hands up to grip her arms and glanced around nervously, eyes wide. "I hope we can find our way back. This place scares me. What if those others come back!?"

I understand, said Peta; I dont want to face those guys again right now. Having someone else near by helped Peta deal with the pain more, when she was alone the pain was the worse. The others had seemed to have already left the area and went back to the Academy. I am glad to meet you, Vanorah; that is a pretty name. Peta slowly stood straight up from where she had been leaning against the buiding. Her muscles were screaming in pain, but she focused on the task ahead of here "getting home". We can find our way back together. I wonder what time is it, it feels like I have been here for several hours. Peta took a few steps forward stumbling, before she regained her balance and was able to walk forward. She looked at Vanorah and smiled at her, before saying; So where r u from?

Vanorah wanted to pull it back but the fear of being seen as a freak was too deeply ingrained.

Vanorah slid smoothly into to walking by Peta's side. Seeming to glide more than walk. Still too nervous to meet her companions eyes, "From all over actually. We were always having to move cause of my dad's job. I don't really think of anyplace as 'home' anymore cause if I do will just have to move that much sooner."

She forced herself to look up and over at Peta, smiling shyly, "Where are you from?"

Though I've some water-based physical mutations that stick even in normal form."

She also removed one glove and spread her fingers wide, showing the webbing between them. Sadly, "This is why my mom left, cause I look so weird."

She bent over and took her moccasin off to reveal a taloned foot; with the talons painted bright pink. This is why I am so clumsy at times, my powers and my feet are some of the reasons my father kept me secluded at the reservation. When he heard about the Academy he thought it might be a good place for me to learn a vocation and also keep my mind off of other things.

I am so glad to meet you, it is so wonderful to meet someone as neat an awesome as you are. I hope we are able to be roommates.

There were always people who'd say they wanted to be friends but they never meant it. They just wanted to find ways to hurt the 'monster'."

Vanorah cocked her head to one side as Peta removed her shoe. Eyes widening as she saw what the older girls foot looked like, "Oooh." Realizing that here was someone who truly could understand her, in all ways, Vanorah's eyes lite up and she practically glowed. "Pink! Oh how pretty!!"

Giggling softly, "What a pair we make!" Taking off her own shoe Vanorah revealed a foot as delicately boned as her hands and that also sported webbing between each toe.

"I don't think you'd ever be clumsy! Eagles are so graceful and beautiful." Cocking her head and looking at the moccasin, "Though that can't be all that comfortable, having to wear shoes designed with a more normal foot shape in mind." Thinking fast, "Maybe now you can get special shoes made, just for you!!"

Nodding, "My dad also thought this would be good for me. Though mostly he sent me here so I wouldn't be bullied all the time, or have to hide all the time." Smiling brightly and with only a trace of her usual shyness, "He also hoped I'd meet others like me I could be friends with."

"I have never been swimming before", responded Peta.
she sighed loudly at the thought of her life on the reservation. "Friends were non-existant on the reservation, most of the kids were younger than me. All of the kids my age was sent away to a school to learn trades and get a better education. I was taught by a elder in my tribe. My time was spent learning the tribal ways and being given as much of a education as she could give me. "

Seeing the pain in her new friends eyes, struck Peta's heart hard. "I am so sorry those other kids were so mean to you. They were wrong to call you names and mistreat you."


It felt good to be able to show someone else her secret, her father always special made her moccasins to fit her feet. By doing this they also kept her secret quiet from the outsiders and curiousity of the others on the reservation. Only a certain number of the elders knew about her. "My father says I will grow out of the clumsiness and be able to see without my glasses. I have just been able to wear contacts recently. My father thinks as I learn to control and adapt to my powers, I will become more used to and like my namesake."


She smiled at the thought of a shoe being made to fit her feet. " No, I won't need any shoe made my father makes my moccasions to fit my feet. But you know it might be a fun thing to do though,to be able to wear a close to normal shoe."

Peta felt the younger girls shyness dropping away more, it encouraged her to know sjhe could help someone by just being a friend. It seemed this is what her teacher had been teaching her for so long. "I at first was so scared and did not want to leave my father. He is the one that encouraged me to go and find my true idenity. Also he was hoping i could make friends with others like me."

Peta's smile got bigger and she felt better about coming to the academy. " When we get back to the academy, we can go to the office and request to room together. I think we should be getting there soon."

Komodo found his cousin and convinced her to go back to the gang's hideout with him. He knew the fight wasn't going to end well and wanted to make sure he and his cousin were okay.

Hope took Cat's hand to stand up. She still felt like she was somewhere else, but when she saw others coming toward them, she knew the fight was over and they were okay. "Yeah, I'm fine. Let's just get out of here," she managed to squeak out.

Drew arrived at the scene as the fight ended. From the looks of it, the students had won. He didn't really know who the opponents were and wonder if the students had been able to use their powers to win the battle. He ducked behind a building before anyone could look over and spot him. He didn't want to explain to anyone why he was here.

"hello. I'm fine and I think Hope's okay. it seems to be just about over anyway." she paused for a moment, then looked back at Jason. "so why'd you decide to rejoin us?"

Hope took Cat's hand to stand up. She still felt like she was somewhere else, but when she saw others coming toward them, she knew the fight was over and they were okay. "Yeah, I'm fine. Let's just get out of here," she managed to squeak out.

"Cause the FBI pays better." He responded sarcastically. So you ladies wanna gather the troups and head back to the academy. I'd rather not stick around. " Jason was worried that if the FBI found out he had snuck out, the would send him back to prison. So he kind wanted to pretend he had never left.

"sure" Caitlyn's adrenaline rush was in the process of dying, leaving her feeling a little tired and with an urge to repeat the experience. which was a little bizarre if you thought about it, since she'd been scared before the fight started, but Caitlyn was addicted to lots of things that had scared her before she tried them. that was half the fun. she looked around trying to focus.
jerking her head at the alleyway where Connor and Sammy were vaguely visible. "should we head over towards them, then?"
