The tour was actually quite boring. They were just being informed where everything was and how their daily schedual would be. Kyler knew he wasn't going to be able to remeber the majority of this. Kyler looked down at his badge again, barely listening to the tour guide. His mutation read " Kyler Philips, Age: 19, mutation: inpenitrable and invisibility, Room# 34"
Kyler wondered if he would have his own room or if he had tohave a room mate. Kyler wasn't very good with other people. HE noticed this guy in the back of the group that looked like trouble he had fire tatoos down his arms and was wearing some kind of prison suit. Kyler mede sure to keep his didtance, but tried to glance at his tag. All kyler could read was Name: Jason Kent, Age:24 , mutation: pyrotechnics. creepy Kyler just followed the tour guide as she walked into the dorm area. Finally, she would show them their rooms.

Kade followed a group of people around on a tour. She hadnt really been paying attion, so she wasnt quite sure where she was. She looked around and notised a guy in a prision jumpsuit near by. Slightly starteled Kade had to consentrate to keep from phasing out.
She looked down at the name tage she'd been given.
"Kadence Hunter
Age: 17
Mutation: Phasing, technological disruption when phasing through it, can walk on the air" is what the name tag said.

She hoped when they where shown, or given, assigned ot what ever, their rooms she wouldnt have a room mate. At least not yet.

Tears flowed consistantly down her pale cheeks. She'd never been more angry. Her bottom lip quivered as the tears continued to flow. The car had grown deeply silent. Mr. Konane looked at his wife.

"Maybe this isn't such a great idea, Cathy?"

Mrs. Konane looked at her husband and shook her head. "She needs to grow up Kirk. Babying her isn't going to help that process."

Mr. Konane looked at his wife. Had she just said what he'd heard? He glanced in the rearview mirror at his daughter, Aura, sitting in the backseat. She'd heard what her mother said, and it stung. She crossed her arms over her chest and put her feet up against the back of her mother's seat with a tremendous amount of force.

"Aura!" Mrs. Konane screamed. "Knock it off!"

She looked at her husband. "That is what I'm talking about."

"Cathy, she's upset and rightfully so."

"You're taking her side again, Kirk!"

"That's because she's right, Catherine! You and I made the wrong choice in making her do this. She had a future with Joaquin, and we took that away from her!"

"I don't want to do this now, Kirk. We're almost there."

Mr. Konane looked in the rearview mirrow again. Aura looked at him and mouthed "Thank you." He smiled and nodded, wishing he could do more. They reached the academy a moment later. They all got out and grabbed her bags. Mrs. Konane tried to wipe the tears from her daughters face, but Aura wrenched away.

"Aura please, we won't see each other for quite a while. Can't we end this nicely?"

Aura dropped her bags and gave her father an enormous hug and a kiss on the cheek. "I love you Daddy."

"I love you too pumpkin." he said as he secretly dropped a folded piece of paper into her purse.

Aura then grabbed her bags, glared at her mother and walked off. Mrs. Konane looked at her husband who only glared back and got into the care. Aura walked into the building and up to the front desk. She signed in and got a pre-made tag with her name on it. She looked at it and blinked in shock.

"Aura Konane
Age 18
Mutation: Manipulation of both light and darkness, and retractable wings."

"Wings? What?" she asked outloud. She shook her head and pinned to her shirt. She picked up her bags and followed the signs down the hallway until she came to a large room. It was the Commence Room. There were quite a few others there, none of whom she knew. She dropped her bags and sat on the floor. She tucked her knees under her chin and sighed. She didn't want to cry again, but didn't know if she had the strength to fight the tears.

Kyler listened as the woman announced everyone's room and room mates. He wanted to hear his name so he could find his room and settle in. Suddenly, Kyer felt himself getting lower and lower. He looked down and his feet were sinking into the floor. unfortunatly, his leggs were only inpenatrable up to his knees and Kyler couldn't control himself. Kyler lost his balance and fell forward into the girl infront of him ( Kade), knocking them both to the floor.

despite her self admonition, within minutes Caitlyn was back to fiddling with her puzzle ring. solve. drop. solve. drop. solve. drop. her attention was jerked to two people who had just toppled. had that guy's legs just slid through the ground? Wow. She thought. If we're all like that we are going to have one hectic time here. still listening with half her attention to the list of names, she dropped her eyes to her own badge. Speed and Agility. I could see myself making a mess with that. Though it would help explain how I avoided killing myself before I came here. "and Caitlyn Marsen, dorm nine..." well that was her. now where was dorm nine?

"Woah!" Kade said as she was knocked to the ground.
She had to keep from phasing out and going thou, but phased out just enough to keep from getting hurt.
"You ok?" she asked wondering what happened.

Aura watched the scene with curiosity. She had no idea how to tap into her powers and, frankly, would have preffered to keep it that way. She heard her name called along with a room number, and stood, ready to be alone. She grabbed her bags and walked down the hallway, hoping it led to the dorms. She hadn't been paying attention, but she hoped she wouldn't find that she shared her room with someone.

((We'll say they only wear uniforms when they are on a mission. And those will be the typical FBI uniforms, bulletproof vest, jacket, etc.))

Agent Cameri checked his watch. The tour wasn't supposed to have started for another few hours, but some of the other agents decided that the recruits who had been waiting the longest were getting a bit bored and restless so they went ahead and started it.

"A tour started just a few minutes ago. But I'm sure you can catch up with them and not miss much. As you leave the office, you'll find the lady who showed you in here, she can direct you as to where to find the group. Thank you for coming in."

Izzy stood around with the other mutants, waiting for her name to be called. She wondered if she would have a roommate. When she had filled out the paperwork at the front desk she hadn't thought much about the little box that you were supposed to check if you wanted to be alone in your dorm room. Honestly, Izzy hadn't thought this many people would show up. But she figured sharing a room with someone wouldn't be that bad. In fact, it might be kind of nice.

Finally her name was called along with a room number. She readjusted her bag on her shoulder and then walked down the corridor that the woman gestured to. When she found the right door she pushed it open. She blinked. It wasn't what she had expected. She had thought it was probably just going to be a room with a couple beds and maybe a desk and a closet or something. But this was nice! A small kitchen and living area, a bathroom and seperate bedrooms! Izzy smiled slightly and made her way into the room. She opened the door to the bedroom on the left and peered inside. A bed and dresser along with a nightstand complete with lamp, and a small desk for writing or a laptop or something. Izzy dropped her bag on the floor next to the dresser and then went back out to inspect the living area and kitchen.

Hope found that she couldn't pay much attention to the tour guide. She was much more interested in glancing around at the other recruits. There were some cute guys here. She snapped head around and looked at her feet feeling heat rise to her cheeks. This is not a singles' club she reminded herself.

She noticed as a boy started to drop into the floor. It must be part of his ability. She wondered what it would be like to have an ability that just manifested itself like that. She was glad that her abilities hadn't manifested themselves on their own. If she hadn't come here, she probably could have lived her life just like any normal person. But that's not she wanted. She was excited about this opportunity to make a difference in a way few others could.

Hope directed her attention to the tour leader when she started telling people their dorm numbers. She grabbed her bags and waited. She usually didn't get impatient, but right now she was anxious to get into her dorm and get settled in. Finally the woman called her name and room number. Looking up and the numbers on the rooms closest to her, she head in the direction that should lead to her room.

Hope found her room number and pushed the door open. Nice. Better than my dorm at college. There was already a girl in the room checking the place out. "Oh hi," Hope said to the girl. "I guess you're my roommate. I'm Hope."

Aura found the room she was told and walked in. The room was nice enough, she thought. But it didn't lighten her mood. She dropped her bags by one of the beds and sat down. It didn't even occur to her that there were two beds. She was too busy pulling a picture of Joaquin, her ex-fiance, out of her bag. Tears filled her eyes and fell once again. She missed him more than she could begin to describe, and couldn't even think about her parents without feeling angry. She tried to slow her tears, but it felt good to cry. And besides, no one else was in the room, so why shouldn't she?

Izzy was checking out the contents of the mini refrigerator when she heard the door to the room open. She turned around and found herself facing a pretty girl around her own age with brown eyes and a friendly smile. The excitement and curiousity the girl was feeling was obvious to Izzy even though the girl's outward demeanor didn't show it. "Oh hi. I guess you're my roommate. I'm Hope."

Izzy smiled. "I'm Isabel. But just about everyone calls me Izzy." Except for my father. That last thought entered her mind before she could stop it. No, don't. Don't think about him. You're here now and he's not. She glanced around the room. "I guess the FBI spares no expense, eh?" Izzy gave a nervous chuckle. "I uh, I put my bag in the left bedroom there, but if you'd rather have that bedroom, you can. I don't have a preference of rooms." She gestured toward the bedroom door and to her surprise and embarrassment the door swung open and hit the wall, not hard enough to make a dent but hard enough to make a loud bang. Izzy closed her eyes for a second, swallowed and then met Hope's gaze, feeling like an idiot. She could feel her cheeks go red as she shrugged sheepishly. "Sorry. My fault. I'm what these FBI docs call 'telekinetic' and I can't always control it." She said, feeling the need to explain.

Sammy smiled and thanked the man. The woman pointed her in the right direction and she skipped off. She got to the area where all the others had origionally met and ran off from there, hoping to catch up with the tour.

As she caught up, she saw that they had already reached the dorms and were being assigned rooms and room mates. CRUD!! She'd missed the tour!! Oh well. Maybe her room mte would be able to show her around. She walked over and waited to recieve her room key.

Kyler got up to his feet. Thankfully he could stand on his feet agian. "I'm so sory. Sometimes it seems my body has a mind of it own. " kyler's cheeks started to turn red with embarrasement. " name's Kyler, you must be Kade." he said glancing at her badge.

 

[Lady Knight]

"Dont worry about it. Nice to meet you Kyler. You kind went into the floor...." Kade said looking at his nametag.
"It would seem our...gifts...are simaler" she said looking up at him.
(I'm guessing he's taller then her. She's about 5'5" 5'6"))

despite having to search a bit for her dorm, (having not listened on the tour) Caitlyn's roommate wasn't there when she arrived. she dumped her stuff on the bed in the right-hand room and went out for a run.

Hope smiled as Izzy introduced herself, but then her eyes started traveling around the room. She dropped her bags to the floor as she closed the door behind her. She was listening to Izzy, but checking out the place at the same time. The FBI sure did take care of them. The suite was furnished and there was even a cheezy framed motivational poster on the wall. She smirked at that and wondered if it would be in bad character to take it down.

Her attention snapped back to Izzy as a door slammed. Did she do that? Hope relaxed a bit as Izzy explained herself.

"Oh don't worry about it," Hope said with a caring smile. "I guess we're all going to have to get used to each other's abilities around here."

She then looked down at her badge and sheepishly said, "It's cool that you can use yours. I don't even know what mine is really. My badge says 'solidification' but I haven't gotten up the nerve to ask what that means." She looked back up at Izzy, "I guess these people are going to teach us to control our powers, but do you really think they can teach me to use mine if I've never done anything with them before? For other people, their powers seem to just ... happen."

Hope picked up her bags and carried them over toward the bedroom to the right.

After a few long minutes, Aura fell onto her side and clutched the picture close to her chest. She thought back on all of the wonderful, happy memories she had with Joaquin and was happy she at least had that much. She sniffed and set the picture on the desk next to the bed and layed back down. She'd unpack later.

Kade heard her name called out and her room number.
She said "Excuse me" to Kyler, got her room key and picked up the bag she had droped when she had fallen.
Kadence found her way to her room opened the door.
She didnt know that she'd have a room mate and was starteled when she saw two beds and some one laying on one of them.
"Oh" was all she said.
