"Oh, Andrew!! Don't say such things!! We're here to embrace our powers!! You shouldn't hate them!! What did they ever do to you that you're so mad at yourself??" Sammy crossed her arms and waited for Drew to explain himself.

Andrew tightened himself up. "Who says I'm mad at myself?" He said defensively. He quickly tried to think of a distraction. "I only meant that some people need to be able to stop their power. Didn't you just see me get whacked in the back of the head cause someone couldn't stop?"

She saw Agent Razze open her mouth to answer when there was a sudden cry from the center of the room. She glanced over and saw a red-haired fellow had just sprouted spikes on his back. Izzy's eyebrows raised in surprise, but the guy was far from alarmed. Even without her sixth sense, it was quite plain he was enjoying showing off. There certainly are a wide variety of abilities here. She thought to herself, turning back to Agent Razze. "Yes," Izzy said to her, "It's interesting to learn of everyone's ability, but I'd like to get to the part where I learn how to control my abilities as soon as possible. As you probably saw just a couple minutes ago with that coin flying through the air, I'm afraid I'm causing more harm than good with what little control I have now." She gave a small smile.

Just before Razze could answer the boy, there was an outcry from the center of the room. She quickly turned to make sure that no one had been injured. But then she saw who it was. They knew they were going to have problems with that one, maybe even more than from the convict. However, for the time being he was not breaking any rules. But he would be watched, and if he continued with his reckless attitude, steps would have to be taken.

Agent Razze turned back to the group as another student raised an interest in learning to control their power. "Is that why all of you think you are here?" she said with a smile. "To learn to use your power? I'm afraid that's not the case. Yes, that's a part of it, but more importantly you are here to learn to be FBI agents. Part of that job deals with working in groups and with partners. I'm also here to learn. I am learning which of you get along well and which do not. Several of you will likely go on missions together long before you develop full control of your abilities. But seeing as some people are starting to get restless and show off a little too much, I will go ahead and move the class along."

With that Agent Razze turned and headed back to the front of the classroom.

Katherine jumped in surprise at the scream, then gasped and stepped back a bit at the sight of the boy with bones shooting out of his back. She blinked in surprise, as it slowly registered that this was the boy's mutation. She relaxed, realizing that she'd tensed up. When the teacher headed towards the front of the classroom, Kat slid into the nearest seat.

Before Zalx went back to his seat, He replied to Jason, "Yah, It is pretty cool, but I can do other things, their just not as.... Visible. My body can basiclly change itself. I can't like, morph, But I can do things other humans can't, like... Oh did I mention I have nearly every diease known to man. I can control them. He then went to his seat.
Zalx did one more gross thing before he left. He yawned, and his jaw dislocated, making it like 1.5 feet hanging from its orgianl posistion. He poped it back in. He walked to a set, seeing others going back to their seats. His bones sickenly slide back into his skin. He sat down once the bones came back in for the most part.

Sam nodded.

"Yeah, sure. I guess you have a point."

Sammy agreed with the boy, but could feel that there was more to his comment than just that. This guy was hurting, and she wanted to help him. But perhaps now wasn't the time. She got up.

"Everyone is going back to their seats... perhaps we should as well..."

Connor rolled his eyes as the guy showed of his mutaion. He couldn't understand what they were so excited about. It's the way he was born. Deal with it.

Ok, maybe he was just a little jealous that others new how to use their powers and he didn't even know what the heck he was supposed to be able to do. He nodded to the teacher and took his seat in the back just as she reached the front. Finally, something else to do. He hated talking to people he didn't know. It just wasn't who he was.

Katherine cringed slightly when his jaw dislocated, but tried not to look at him so he'd notice. It seemed he was doing it all for attention, but she couldn't help being a bit startled by it.

Zalx sat, and looked at the floor. He was starting to freak out. He was rememoring. How?!? I deleted this from my memory loabe!
And then it all came rushing back.
Zalx, 5 years old at this point, was a happy child, until his mother AND father found a book. It was a hand written book, made by gangsters, and then, they took Zalx deep into mutant fighting.
Like [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] fights or dog fights, young childeren, around 5, are forced to learn their power well. He had a month, and Zalx lived in fear he wouldn't be able to learn fast enough.
But he did, and the worst was yet to come!
He suddenly remomored the ring, the place with walls of steel, insulation, protectin from cracking, everything, he just remembered how he could never get out.
Then, he remembered Conrad. That big old kid. He was more like 6. This kid had super strength, his Zalx's first fight. He lost, of corse, and his parents retreved him. Unlike pitbulls or roasters, Mutants arn't easy to come by. Zalx remembered years upon years of fights, wining and losing. Soon everything his parents had done and said before, it was fadeing. All he thought about was the ring, and practice, practice, practice.
When he was about 15, his last fight, a bunch of police came in and arrested everyone. They grabbed him up, and but Zalx in juvie becuase he was devolping his powers. He had no idea about the laws though! All he thought about was the ring, the fight...
Once he was 18 he was taken out of juvie, and now a person, not a fighter, a person.
The memory faded, Zalx got ingrossed in his own story, he didn't remember it from before. He deleted it after it was finished. He looked up and waited for the teacher to keep talking. He relised the 10 minute story, took only 10 seconds in his mind.

Jason listened intently to Liuvia. "Well, I'm kinda fire proof, but my clothes however are not. I'f im not carefull, they can easily be burned. I don't know how many shirts I've schorched." Then Zalx joined the group. Jason watched as he showed off his abilities."Thats awsome man! but at the same time totally gross. I can only imagine how many people you've freaked out with that." Then everyone started to find their seats. "I'll see you guys later Jason said before finding his seat. He put his feet up and the desk and sat back, waiting for the agent in the front of the room to continue.

((I wanted to quote her too, but it didn't work. BTW. if Jason and Andrew ever got together I'm sure they'd clash,considering Andrew's parents were killed by mutant gang members))

Drew let out a big sigh of relief. Finally he was able to get away from this whole group thing. He grabbed a seat as far in the back of the room toward the corner as he could get. He wasn't so sure that he wanted to be here any more. When he had talked to the FBI, they had told him that everyone here was untrained and that they wouldn't have powers any more developed than his own. It was obvious that was all a lie. Some of these kids were quite adept at their abilities. How was he to know that one of these very mutants sitting here wasn't one that was involved in his parents' death? To him all mutants were enemies, even himself. That's why he really wanted to stop his power. Not just because it brought back painful memories but because it made him one of them.

Lluvia gagged as the bones in Zalx's back grew out of his skin. It was disgusto. She couldn't understand why Jason found it "awesome". Zalx was only trying to get attention, but doing it in the exact same way her 8 year old brother would. Lluvia nodded as Jason went back to his seat and headed back to her seat also. She wanted to get away from Zalx as quickly as possible. As she sat down in her seat, she regained her composure and waited for the Agent to continue.

Luna jerked up as Zalx screamed. She covered her ears not quite quickly enough and accidentally knocked off her hood. The scream stabbed her ears like knives and reverberated through her brain. So that's what that guys power was, to look like a complete freak. "Just like you." She reminded herself. And yet he could apparently control when he looked like a freak, unlike her. She gave a strangled sound in her throat, somewhat like a cross between a growl and a sigh and headed to her seat. Luna was feeling a bit jealous toward this guy. On her way to her seat, she realized that her hood was down. Quickly she whipped it back up and hoped that no one had noticed her ears.

Once Agent Razze got back to the front of the room, she waited until everyone had found a seat before starting her incredibly long and boring speech. ((I know it is long, but hopefully not too boring. ))

“Okay, so we’ve started getting to know each other. I hope everyone found that beneficial and not too painful. You will all be living, eating and working together for quite a while so I hope we can all learn to trust and respect one another.

Now I guess we’ll move on to why all of you are here. Controlling your abilities right? For those of you who already have developed control over your abilities, please help those around you. We have found that even though everyone has different abilities, the elements of control are very similar for everyone. That’s how groups of mutants have been able to get together and help each other, by just simply sharing their experience of how they have learned to control their mutation.

For those of you who find that you have been able to use your ability, but have not been able to control it very much, you have likely noticed that your mutation shows itself the most in times of high emotion. This seems to be the time when mutations are most powerful for just about everyone.

So the assignment for everyone is to think of a time that was very emotional for you, try to feel those emotions again, and at the same time think about your ability. If you can’t use it, try to channel your emotion into the thoughts of your ability to spark it into action. For those whose ability comes out without being able to control it, become aware of it as soon as it starts to happen and concentrate on holding it back. If you have to, calm your emotions a little to keep you ability in check. If you still have problems understanding what you ability is exactly, any of the full agents here will be able to explain them to you. ((They are NPC so if you want to interact with one, you can control them.))

This may take several days before you see a good amount of progress, so work on it for the next few days until we meet again for class. So until then, class is dismissed. You may stay here to practice or go elsewhere. I’m also available to answer any questions.”

With that, she thanked the class for their attention and sat down behind her desk.

(Practice? Sweet)
As the class dispersed, Zalx decided to do a little training. He Went to the middle of the room, with a few other classmates, and grew out his bones in his fingers. mucels contrated and he pointed at his stomache. A boney bullet fired into his stomauache. He then closed his eyes and focused, trying to use his muscules to push the bullet out. He was also vigerously vibrating his tissue, it produces a natrual pain killer. He did so, and eventually the bullet fell into his open palm. He thought about what to do with the bullet. He simply put it back into his stomachue tissue. The bone cells nearby will simply recycle the calcium. He did this several times, in many places on his body. With more practice it might be able to squeeze a metal bullet out.

Katherine stood up and left at soon as Agent Razze stopped talking. As soon as she'd mentioned bringing back old emotions, Katherine started looking nervous. Her powers always seemed so out of control; and they only seemed to pop up when she was extremely upset. The last time she'd really demonstrated her real power was years and years ago, and she'd almost been arrested for it.

She went back to her room and put up her bag. "Come on, Lenny.." she murmured, holding her arms out to her ferret. He scampered over and she picked him up, stroking his head as she walked out of her room. She was so spaced out that she forgot to didn't close her door all the way, but left it open about an inch.

((Can there be an outside training area? Maybe like in the middle of the buildings, so it's still a private area? >.> ))

Connor sat at his desk and closed his eyes. He thought about the day his adoptive family disowned him. It was the most emotional time he could remember. At the same time, he focused on teleporting. He desided to try going to his room. He concentrated on his ability and memory and suddenly, there was a strange smell around him and he was falling. He opened his eyes as he hit the water. The poool??

He hadn't meant to go there!!! He quickly swam to the surface and caught his breath. He climbed up the ladder andf closed his eyes. He had done it!! He didn't do it as he had wanted to, but still. He smiled to himself and closed his eyes. He was ready to try again.

Sammy got up to see if Connor wanted to practice with her when he suddenly vanished. She coughed at the nasty smelling smoke he'd left behind. OK, so maybe he wouldn't be able to practice with her, but maybe Drew would.

Jason lounged back in the chgair with his feet up as Agent Razze gave her speech

Simply sharing their experiances! yeh right!

Jason had been a mamber of a gang of mutants that developed their powers and simply sharing wasn't their style. Jason remembered when he ran away and first joined that gang. It was over 10 years ago, but he still remembered it. The gang members had figure that the powers were triggered under pressure, so all of the members would attack the new guy and he would have no choice but to use his mutation to defend himself. It wasn't the best method, but after a few sesions, it worked. Once you figured out how to trigger them willingly it was simply a matter at getting better at it and finding out all of the things you could do.

Thousands of emotional times started to stream through Jason's mind. Jason already knew how to channel his powers so there was no need to remind himself of painful meories. He walked to the center of the room to practice his powers. Zalx was also there doing some kind of waird bone thing. Totally gross. Jason held out his hand and lite it on fire. Then he placed his other hand a few inches above the flame. He curved his fingers into a a round spere arounf the fire and the flame came into the shape of a ball. Jason bounced the ball in the air a few time, then threw it directly at Zalx. Then Jason pulled his hand back and the ball of fire followed back into his hand. Jason laughed adn closed his fist putting out the fire. He ran up to Zalx with a big smile on his face. He crossed his arms and said "And thats why they call me Flame." Jason laughed. "So I noticed that you and I seem to be the only ones who have any kind of significant control over our special abilities. I know how i learned mine, but how did you learn yours?"

When Agent Razze finished making her speech, Izzy sighed. She hadn't connected her ability to an emotion. It just happened. Well, I guess now I'm going to have to try to be aware of that. Izzy thought to herself. A lot of the class had already begun using their powers. The guy that had grown bones out of his back and the one whom Agent Cameri had called "Jason" were in the middle of the room eagerly practicing. Izzy glanced to her left just in time to see another guy vanish into thin air. She really shouldn't be using her powers in a room full of people. Her previous attempt to do so with the coin was evidence of that.

She glanced at Hope and Caitlyn. "Well, I think it would be safer for everyone if I found somewhere more private to practice. I'm gonna head out and look for a place." She gave a half chuckle and smiled. "If either of you want to risk getting pummeled with floating objects you're welcome to come with me."

Without waiting for an answer, Izzy got up and strode out of the classroom and into the hall. She was going to head to the dining hall but decided against it. Too many people would be going in for lunch soon. She thought about her room, but that wouldn't work either. Too many breakable items. In fact, anyplace inside was probably not a good idea. Izzy decided to try to find a place outside. She began walking around the grounds and stumbled across what looked like an old tennis court. It hadn't been used for some time, but that's what made it appealing to her. Perfect. It was enclosed on three sides and the fourth one only had a narrow entrance. There were also a couple of old tennis balls and a broken raquet on the ground along with some empty plastic water bottles.

She walked to the middle of the tennis court, where the net would have been had there been one, and focused her attention on one of the old yellow tennis balls. She concentrated on imagining the ball floating up into the air and coming towards her. The ball wiggled a bit but didn't come. She tried again. The ball rolled towards her for about three feet and then stopped. Frustrated, Izzy extended her hand, made a grabbing motion and pulled her hand in towards herself while imagining the ball floating towards her. A yellow ball was suddenly flying towards her head. She gave a yelp and ducked as the ball sailed over her, bounced on the ground a couple of times and then rolled into the wall on the other side of the court.

Her heart beating a little more quickly than it had before, Izzy swallowed and stood up. At least one good thing had come from that. She had identified the emotion. Desire. She had really wanted the ball to come to her. Had been frustrated when it didn't. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath and then opened her eyes again, her focus on the ball. This time, as she had identified the emotion, she put that emotion into the ball, coupled with her image of the ball floating towards her. And it obeyed. It was slow. Slower than she would have liked, but at least it wasn't hurling itself at her this time. She held out her hand to it and when it finally got close enough, she plucked it from the air. She grinned. I did it! She tossed the ball into the air and caught it again.

Her eyes caught sight of one of the empty plastic bottles on one of the bleachers. It was standing up. An idea struck her. Holding the ball in the palm of her hand, she desired it to float yet again. When it finally did, she then focused her attention on the plastic bottle, squinted her eyes and, with a small flick of her finger, desired the ball to fly at the bottle, knocking it over. The ball flew all right. But it didn't land anywhere near the bottle. It bounced off the back wall and then sailed up into the air in a high arch before landing behind Izzy on the ground. She sighed. This was going to take a lot of work, but at least she was learning.

KYLER

Kyler got up after Agent Razze speech. HE understood what she ment by emotions and the mutations being intertwined. Kyler didn't want to stay here and atempt to use his powers with everyone else in the room. It was kinda distracting. With Some freaky guy disfiguring his body and Jason trowing fireballs. Kyler got up and left the room. A few other people had the same idea nad were finding places al around the campus. Kyler was happy to get out of that crowded room and get some fresh air. He walked past an area with benches, a swimming pool, and a tennis court. Kyler noticed that there was someone down at the tennis. HE watched from a distance as she moved tennis balls around. How cool was that! He walked down the hill, and towards the girl. He sat down on the grass at the edge of the court. "Do you mind if i watch?"

Izzy turned upon hearing the voice and saw a young man with white hair sitting on the grass next to the entrance to the court. She hadn't expected an audience. Shrugging she replied, "If you want to, I don't mind. Be prepared to get out of the way quickly though. I don't have too much control yet." She gave a sheepish smile.

Now that she had an audience she was a bit more nervous but tried to ignore it. She glanced around the tennis court, noticed a couple more plastic bottles and walked quickly around the court, picking them up. She set them up next to the first one so that there were four now to knock over. She figured she might hit one by accident at least if there were more of them. Izzy jogged back to the center of the court and picked up the tennis ball. She took a deep breath, holding the ball in her open palm. Please hit one of the bottles. Please. The ball floated up and then zoomed once again towards the bleachers and the waiting bottles. It actually hit the bleachers this time instead of the back wall, but it still wasn't close to the bottles. Izzy felt her face go a bit red as she glanced at the only spectator. She rolled her shoulders and then called the ball back to her. She wasn't getting attacked by it anymore, instead it moved quite slowly as if daring her to try to make it go faster. She resisted the temptation, afraid that if she tried to make it go faster then it would fly at her head again. She repeated her tosses six more times before finally the tennis ball hit one of the bottles and knocked it to the ground with a satisfying "bonk". It wasn't the one she had been aiming at, but the guy watching her wouldn't know that. She punched the air with one fist in triumph, a smile on her face. "Yes!" she cried before she could stop herself. She then put both hands on her hips and gave a satisfied sigh. Turning back to the young man watching her she said, "Sorry. I just got a bit excited." She giggled slightly. Feeling quite energetic, she walked over to him and stuck out her hand. "I'm Izzy. What's your name?"
