He desribes a lot of the symptoms of what a lot of posters here call convertitis (Although I prefer i prefer Convertosis, because an -itis is an inflammation)![]()
There has been some mention of canons of the Church regarding iconography. Could someone post those, or at least a link?
The Reader Peter
I visited a Catholic Church / Center of Conferences and in their Shop there was plenty of EO icons....
So I would say that since icons are not a Sacrament, we can use Catholic icons provided that the saint there is recognised by the EO Church plus all other necessary elements to make the work an ICON.
Other opinions ?
Or Metropolitan Chrysostomos, who was ordered to hand over a list of all the Jews he knew of so that they could be given to the Nazis. He refused. The demands got stronger. He finally wrote something down on a piece of paper, threw it at the guy, and screamed, "Here's your Jew!" On the paper was his own name.
(there's a display about this story right in the Holocaust museum in DC, or at least there was in 2002.)

Okay, now to see if the quotes from CF Support appear now that I have deselected all the previously selected quotes.
Here goes.
Nope.
This is a pain. I prefer the other way.
testing again - the last time it didn't work at all.
was it figured out why numbers appear after the names of the persons quoted?
I'm not seeing the multi-quote buttons today.Where'd they go?
I also could not get the quote button to work on my last post.
I love the feature! But I liked it better when there was the regular quote button with the little multi-quote one next to it...especially when you just want to quote one post.
I was wondering the same thing when I tried to use the "quote" button and it wouldn't direct me to a "reply" window with the quote.
I really liked it when we could tag all the posts we wanted to quote and then click on the "quote" button when we were done.
ahh ok, glad I lood here before going to the report bug section
It's not a bug, it's a feature![]()

ok - think I have this new format figured....
I click on the "quote+" changing it to "quote-" for one nor more posts I want to quote
THEN I hit "reply" in the last (or only) post I want quoted
This bumps you down to the "quick reply" box at the bottom of the page - which WILL be empty
click on "Go Advanced" and you will go to the advanced edit box and the quoted posts will be displayed
Whew!![]()

Ok - it works and I think what I and others have been having trouble with - it is thebutton!! I had NO idea where this was, didn't remember ever seeing it and have never used it!!
IF you are having trouble finding it too - listen up
At the bottom of every thread page there is the "quick reply" box - ok no surprise - LOL BUT.....
JUST above that "quick reply" box and to the far left is thebutton - THIS is the button you click after selecting one or several posts to quote!!
Hurray! It immediately takes you to an advanced edit box where the quoted posts are for your convenience!!
Try it it REALLY DOES work![]()
Interesting... they should follow you...Yeah,I tried taking my quotes to a different sub-forum,but they didn't follow me.Guess I did it wrong?
