Over the last decade, life has been rough -- lots of deaths (Sister Terry murdered drive by, Father murder in 93, Uncle Eddy, Aunt Betty, unbelieving friends, Aunt Joyce, Wife's Parents and others).

I had to retire early from Teaching without a pension due to Cancer and degenerative bone disease.

I volunteer to help those in my neighborhood.

I am a care giver for senior family members -- Mary(my Mother) and Gladys(Wife's Aunt).

A few months ago my gallbladder was removed. I have had many other surgeries related to Cancer and Bone problems.

Daily, I am in a lot of pain.

I am born again and reading the Bible does not make a lot of sense to me. I think it is because I was not raised in the culture of the Bible.

What books would change the minds of people like that or inform those of us who like to read intelligent responses?

Could someone send me those books, free of charge?

I could use a copy of NIV, Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible or NKJV Word Study Bible .

I do my reading of books while waiting in doctor's offices.

Where abouts do you live, I mean what country? I can send you books if you live in mine but its pricy if you dont.

Salavtion army usually gives away free bibles and bible studies.
The Gideons also give free bibles.
